I’ve been coming to this salon for almost eight years and never had a problem until recently. About a month ago, I had a gel pedicure and, for the first time ever, picked up a fungus. My big toe was red and inflamed around the cuticle for weeks, to the point where I had to bandage it. Now the nail is growing back thicker and clearly infected. I’ve always seen the same nail tech, so I was surprised this happened. The salon is now under new management, and unfortunately, the cleanliness and attention to proper sanitation have declined. I usually pre-schedule my appointments, but after this experience, I had no plans to return. I wasn’t able to find any option to cancel online, so I called twice before my appointment—once before opening and again around 9:35 a.m.—and left a voicemail. The new owner didn’t return my call until after my appointment time, then after we hung up, she called me back a second time just to tell me I should have canceled a day in advance. After eight years of consistent business, being spoken to that way was unnecessary and disappointing. If the salon still made confirmation calls like they used to, or allowed online cancellations, this wouldn’t even be an issue. Between the infection, the decline in hygiene, the new creepy male tech who stares at customers, the increased pricing, and the new owner’s rude attitude, I won’t be returning.

I naively went here due to the reviews but I will not be returning. Mia did my nails which at first I thought she was cool to talk to. However, she talked me into paying more and getting a gel top coat over my dip because she said the nails would last longer. I got my nails done on Sunday… today is Wednesday the 3rd day and I have bubbles in my nails with major chipping from just trying to peel a price tag off an item. The photos don’t even do it justice. I informed her I usually get bubble bath dip, she tried to tell me OPI didn't make that color in dip (even though I have had it multiple times at other salons in the area) she showed me something “similar” that she had instead. Mia was nice but she asked if I wanted something to drink, I said water pls and she came back with nothing and started on my nails. Also, she kept doing this annoying tapping before opening each jar. It was like nails on a chalkboard for me. Probably the worst manicure I’ve ever received. I came to get my nails done to feel good not just have a conversation with someone. I rather go to my usual nail salon downtown for quality and even a few dollars less. Not worth it. EDIT: day 4 and all of my nails looks like it’s 2 weeks old just doing my normal everyday tasks. Dip has never ruined this soon. All of my dip nails have lifted and things are getting stuck underneath. Very frustrating.

Edit*** Jessyca, the salon owner, had me come on Tuesday and did my nails again herself. They came out amazing! She even had me try a different style I never had before. You can tell she cares about her clients and her employees. Her salon is cute and has such a good vibe. I will definitely be going back. Got a gel manicure on Sunday and by Monday morning they were already peeling off. The place itself was great, clean and cute decor and they were very hospitable but I’m just not happy with that outcome. The girl who did my nails was very nice but she was under the weather and I don’t want to throw her to the wolves here but I never get my nails done and want them to last more than a day before they start coming off.

I have been coming here to get my nails done many times before and always had a good experience. However this last time was awful. I went in to have my nails done for my bridal shower. I showed her what I wanted and she said ok. The nail art on my toes looked so bad I just told her to paint them a solid color. My nails looked ok when I left but a couple nails were a little lumpy and the design wasnt exactly what I wanted but I figured close enough. I proceed to go to my shower weekend and not one day later a nail has chipped and I can see it pulling away from the nail on another finger. So I had chipped nails for my bachelorette and boudoir photos. I had been extra careful and everything-no lotion no hot water and no strenuous activity. The chipping got continually worse and they looked awful for my shower. I then came in and asked to have them taken off and told them what happened. They didn't seem overly concerned about it and just took it off. They were even shocked to hear I had them done there. The lady didn't charge me to remove them but I left her a tip anyway because it wasn't her that had done a poor job. I then said I wanted to cancel my bridal appointments for me and my fiance and they didn't even try to stop me. They didn't try to offer and redo them or offer a refund. It seemed like they didn't care about my business at all. I will now be looking for somewhere else to go for my bridal nails. I doubt I'll ever be back here. This might be ok for just everyday nails but don't trust them...

Mimi needs to get her license revoked. My nail cuticles were cut on 3 nails! I don’t know what she was trying to clear out underneath one of my nails but she cut me there too! When she was putting on the tip nails she kept getting her finger glued together with my nail and the tip. I checked the nails to see how they were laid and one of them had a gap meaning it wasn’t even glued on! She couldn’t glue on the second one so she went for her third tip nail. So after that mess I started to check her work. The acrylic was thick on some nails and on others it looked “flat”.When I asked her to fix it she rolled her eyes and bit her lip as if she was stopping herself from saying something. The hostility started when I first sat down she started asking me personal questions. Where I was from, where was I raised, what’s my nationality, it lead to asking me about my religion. I’m Muslim, and I was wearing my hijab so it was obvious that the convo was going to lead to the war in the Middle East. So when she asked me why I converted I told her it was personal. She replied with a sarcastic “Okay It’s personal” and by rolling her eyes. I didn’t want to make this about my religion because her work was horrible and I wanted to make sure that was mentioned before I said anything about her nasty attitude. At one point I asked Eveline (another employee) something and she turned to Mimi as if she needed her permission to answer me. Someone help those girls because they’re clearly being managed by a toxic...
