Visited to see Oppenheimer since it was one of the few theaters with an IMAX 70MM viewing. Definitely worth scouring for tickets to take part in the immersive experience. The theater is in the center of Universal CityWalk so expect a small hike to reach it. Depending on where you park your journey leading up to the entrance will vary, but you can't miss it. Upon entrance you'll be met with a ticket concierge to scan your already purchased ticket(s) and point you in the right direction. This was where most viewers went and was a fairly quick process. They have a checkout line to the right where you can purchase tickets on site if needed. The feng shui of the theater is very welcoming and I enjoyed their play on lighting and the use of natural light. The theater chosen to show Oppenheimer itself was huge. There are two entrances and depending on your seats should determine which one you use. Walking in feels like entering a stadium for a game or concert where you're led through a "tunnel" but can still see the stage (screen) that will host the event in front of you. The first thing you notice is the massive and curved screen. The aspect ratio of the screen is more square than the common widescreen ratio. The seats were okay. They're not like the typical AMC recliner chairs that we've grown accustomed to but moreso resemble individual bleacher seats. Understood as they want to fit as many people in this type of theater as they can but when the duration of the movie is 3 hours.. it's not long before you start to feel the effects. I've been to this theater twice and both for specific reasons. This isn't a theater one would go to every week to catch a movie, those of you that take FULL advantage of your A-list subscriptions, but it's a nice change of scenery with many things to dabble in before or after your movie. "..because here, they are" 🍿 Enjoy!

Do NOT Go To This Racist Disgusting Roach-Infested Corrupt AMC Theatre!!! [PART 1 OF 2] Date of Roach Citing: Wednesday 6/5/24 1. The photo attached hereto, shows the larger than life humongously fat Roach crawling into the womens washroom as I was walking out, crawling slow like it's about to climb a toilet to pee out the full of the popcorn staff always leaves behind on hallways floors and theatre room floors and chairs, and as if it's high on the SPOILED (hardly ever same-day fresh) butter oil from the dispenser the lazy careless staff never bothers to do their job of re-filling with fresh butter oil each day. A worker who I mentioned this to, says that she too has seen roaches here, and that it disgusts her. 2. It's not surprising, yet disgusting and alarming and now has me paranoid; as I often witness how the lazy staff leaves theatre rooms with cleaning carts leaving behind hairs, food particles, stains, stickiness, popcorn whole and bits on the chairs, chair arms, chair arm cup holders and floors!!! Smh. They also never spray disinfectant spray. I always use my antibacterial wipes and otherwise my pocket-size Lysol's, and I always sit clean paper or napkins on the seats before I sit down. I would do the legs of the recliners but that'd be too much; they already owe me for being forced to use up my wipes and spray behind their careless incompetent azzes. Customers should not have to do the staffs jobs! 3. I've witnessed how the red head mexican female who says she's a manager, is in the ladies room mirror/sink - completely ignoring the heavyset white female 'cleaning lady' opens the stall doors by pushing them with a broom and ignores going in them to clean up off of the floors and toilets the pee/garbage/liquids of God knows what/particles/toilet seat cover sheets, tissues. And otherwise just does a lightly pressed single brush of the floors with that broom. I go back after movie ends to pee before I leave and have witnessed the sane stalls with that same stuff (proving that she has been intentionally ignoring her job duties). Unsanitary, disgusting, unacceptable, illegal. 4 I will be reporting this AMC to the county department of buildings public safety, and to the department of public health for their willful codes violations. Aand to the state Attorney General for their illegal business transaction practices. 5. That same red head Mexican woman who claims she's a manager; is unprofessional, dishonest, disrespectful, careless, rude, incompetent, and like the other so-called managers who fit those same descriptions - clearly not trained in customer service, hospitality, business ethics, management skills. 3. The day I met her, she lied to me saying she'd fulfill my request of her to TELL THE INCONSIDERATE MEXICAN FOOLS (A COUPLE) SITTING RIGHT BEHIND ME TO STOP TALKING, AND TO TELL THE INCONSIDERATE FOOLS IN THE ROW IN FRONT OF MINE TO STOP TALKING AND STOP TURNING ON THEIR PHONE TYPING AND SCROLLING which they'd been rudely doing both during the first 20+ minutes of the movie which obviously was very disturbing disruptive annoying and ruined me being able to focusing the film. 4. It's bad enough that I had to leave and go hunting for a manager, then report it, and make my request; but then her careless unprofessional racist lying azz blew me off and NEVER CAME IN BEHIND ME, and stupidly sent someone to go in there WHILE I was still quoting my report and request to her, and WITHOUT APPROACHING THE PEOPLE TO TELL THEM TO STOP OR LEAVE. I told her that it probably helped that I had the balls to speak up to the Mexican couple as I stormed out, telling them "Stop talking." But that I should not have endured over 20 minuted prior/before being disrupted from the movie even moreso by getting up to go report them and the couple in front right of me constantly texting and showing each other the cellphone screen in my face. Instead of her apologizing to

I was tempted to come here by reviewers that mentioned that this is a beautiful, clean movie theater in a fun location. And you know what, I’ve never been to this location, so I thought why not? It turned out that this cinema is exactly what they say it is, I suppose, but coming here was not worth the money and the drive for me personally. You can’t really comfortably walk there, you’re gonna have to drive or take the bus, unless you’re staying in a hotel in the area, or if you’re really really determined because it’s not pedestrian-friendly. The auditoriums at the cinema are small, but feel spacious because of limited seating, and they are very clean. I imagine they don’t get a lot of traffic, so it’s not that difficult to upkeep and it shows. There is a small bar upstairs with plenty of seating, and a concessions area downstairs, which had the least sensible layout I’ve ever seen. They were out of a lot of foods like nuggets (??? idk if this is sold in other cinemas, I honestly never noticed this before, but this location does it apparently) and popcorn flavors, but a lot of packaged candy and snacks were still in stock. A medium drink was almost $7. They also didn’t accept Apple Pay or any other wireless options, and they didn’t have any signage to indicate this. So I’ve waited almost 10 minutes in the line for the popcorn and 15 minutes in the line for the registry (yes, they are separate for whatever reason) to be told that no, they will accept cash or card only. Sorry not sorry. Next person in line! The escalators weren’t working and there was a line to the elevators for the second floor auditoriums right next to the gigantic staircase, which I thought was hilarious. Parking is a pain at $30, $5 with validation from the cinema, and you can either buy your movie tickets online in advance and get a coupon to scan at the parking meter, or pay 30 upfront and get a refund at the cinema, basically. Still a pain. I was thinking I’ll get a fun experience in a nice fancy-ish cinema, and it was not that for me. I definitely will not be returning just for the cinema specifically. Maybe if I’m at Universal studios and have money to spend and time to kill - but if I’m being honest, still very unlikely.

This is actually a nice theater but $30 for parking before 5PM is too much. Luckily parking is not too far and usually there is plenty. Bring your parking receipt with you and they will give $25 back. If you plan to buy that much or more in concessions, then you can redeem that receipt for credit at the concession stand. If you don't plan to buy concessions and or that much then you can get cash back at the box office. If you are buying tickets in person just show your receipt at the same time to get your rebate. If you purchased online, then get in line for the box office anyway to get your rebate since this location does not have a separate guest services desk. You can do so before or after. The bathrooms are tiny. As far as I know there are 3 mens bathrooms, two on each end of the first floor and one upstairs on the right side. For 19 theaters thia feels like way too little. Especially since the mena bathrooms only have 3 urinals and two stalls per bathroom. This is my second 70MM IMAX (film projector rather than digital with laser). Both times the audio got messed up since audio for film is separate unlike digital. This time, the audio turned off completely for Oppenheimer. Luckily it was the first 5 minutes. Took about 10-15 minutes for it to get resolved and then they started the movie from virtually the beginning. Both times they gave complimentary movie passes so they made up for the inconvenience. I have yet to see a movie not in IMAX at thisblocation because I am not paying $5 for parking when I can go to a different AMC with free parking.

I live about an hour away by bus and that alone does not sway me away from ever coming back. The lobby and auditorium was clean. Coming here for the first time I was not conditioned to their method of “Get & Go”. I was lost for a couple of minutes until I figured it out that you just grab your popcorn go like the name implies. Not only was I confused about the popcorn but I didn’t know where to buy the soda. Until I asked the cashier, behind the concession area. I don’t know the price difference from the large and regular size fountain drinks but I recommend getting a regular size because both cups come with unlimited refills. I was excited to come here just to try the gourmet popcorn, the Flaming Hot Cheetos popcorn. But their machine was down. So no Flaming Hot Cheetos popcorn for me. It’s understandable and I will not rate this theatre any lower than four stars just for that reason. The reclining chairs aren’t that great to even get excited for. Same recliner chairs that you’ll find in Edward theaters. p.s df

November 17, 2024 I always go to Unniversal Stusio City Walk and I always watch at AMC theatres but this is the first time I watched a movie at AMC inside the Unniversal Studio City Walk. The place was clean as well as the restrooms. They also sell all kinds of snacks and drinks such as hot dogs, popcorns, soda, candies, and other things. The sits were comfy.
