Iām sorry but Dr Rashidās practice just takes too long and has low professional standards. Iāve been seeing him regularly for the past couple of years only because heās close. My appointment today prompted me to write this review; I walked into his practice and checked in, waited fifteen minutes and was told there were an additional 3 patients ahead of me and that Iād likely be waiting much longer - I simply left, past experience has shown that if I had waited for Dr Rashid Iād start my appointment half an hour after it was supposed to end. Todayās appointment brought back some ānostalgiaā dealing with Commonwealth Medical, I thought Iād share it with google reviews: One occasion stands out in my mind, a past appointment where I was left waiting in the lobby for 45 minutes. Upon complaining to Dr. Rashid during my checkup he brushed it off and offered to write me doctorās note for the meeting and time I missed at work - how demeaning as an adult professional to have your doctor assume that the time heās wasted is just a matter of business that can be fixed with a doctorās note like youāre some kind of grade-school child??? Anyways... in other observations, the turnover among the staff is telling of Doctor Rashidās practice and probably alarming to anyone who understands that businesses run smoothly when you can retain good employees, its almost like thereās someone new working the front desk and taking vitals every appointment Iāve had - literally today there was someone new in ātrainingā mistakingly requesting information from me that they already had on file. I rescheduled what I hope will be my last appointment with Dr Rashid for 8am tomorrow morning... although this is allegedly the first appointment of the day and there should be 0 patients ahead me Iām sure Iāll have to wait as Iāve had 8ams with Dr Rashid where heās strolling past me in the lobby at 8:30... hopefully he wonāt offer to fix it with one of his omnipotent Drās notes.
Dr Rashid isnāt a bad doctor and takes medicine seriously, he just runs a business with poor customer service and low standards. If you want that kind of doctor then Haroon Rashid is your man, but if youāre like me then you may choose to write a review like...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStarted experiencing symptoms of a possible UTI and wasn't able to get into my regular doctor's office until the next week so out of an abundance of caution, I decided to go to vista as it was nearby and I thought I could be seen quickly. I booked online for around 9:30am and when I showed up 20 minutes beforehand, the receptionist told me that my appointment was moved to 2:00pm and asked me to come back later meanwhile I did not receive any notification. I got home and looked at the appointment, which still showed my original time and so I called back and asked them to update it in the system so that I would not be charged at all for a late show. I went back that afternoon at 2:00pm and did not feel great about the entire experience. The front desk was checking people in, but then also helping out in the back. One of the people at the front desk was asking me questions about my symptoms out in the waiting area and when I finally went back, my visit lasted for maybe 5 minutes total. I took a urine test and the doctor told me it was negative for a UTI. He didn't really seem to take my symptoms seriously nor did he really have a great bedside manner. He said he could send it off for a culture, but that it would take a few days. I asked if there was anything I could take in the meantime and he didn't really want to give me anything- I had to insist on antibiotics. They said they would call me with the results and advise whether to continue taking the medicine or not. I never heard from them and actually had to call them to ask for the results because I wanted to bring that information to my regular doctor. When I called, the receptionist said it was not ready but that they would call the lab and call me back. I didn't get a call back. When I went to my regular doctor, they stated I was misdiagnosed and that I did have a UTI and they were glad I asked for the antibiotics because it could've progressed to a kidney infection had I not. They also are running the same tests since I did not get any results...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFrom the moment I walked in I felt everything about the place was unprofessional and I didn't feel very confident about Dr. Rashid when I finally saw him. When I arrived there was no one at reception and I waited for 5 or 10 minutes for someone to come out from the back. Meanwhile there was a patient information form with someone's full name, address, reason for visit, etc. sitting right there for anyone to read. Fast forwarding past a couple other off-putting things that happened during intake, Dr. Rashid was unprofessional in taking off my band aids (somewhat rough and careless, considering he didn't know what my bleeding wounds looked like underneath, but you could see that blood was soaking through the band aids). He muttered something about how maybe he should get some scissors (but didn't), and maybe stitches or maybe not, and about both topical and oral antibiotics for the cuts on my hands. (Oral antibiotics?? What?) Then he stepped out and I heard him discharging another patient with almost no care instructions and the patient asking "Should I ice my leg? Put it up? Massage it?" etc. and the doctor saying "Yes, you can." Offered no information other than responding to what the patient asked him, and mostly only with "yes" "no" or "you can." So with that I decided to walk out and drive myself to the hospital ER, bloody hands and all, to get treatment I didn't have to worry about being worse than my actual injury. Maybe this urgent care is better during the day, but my experience at 10:30pm was not something I would care to repeat. Two stars only because the receptionist was nice, but she had clearly never been trained in medical billing or HIPPA guidelines. For example, she ran my insurance card and said she wasn't sure if I had a copay and that it might be because it was after business hours at Aetna headquarters. LOL what?? Bless her heart. Let's see what kind of bill I get for the privilege of having 4 band aids peeled off in a stuffy medical office where the air conditioning was...
