World Market — Attraction in Silverdale

Me and my friend were here earlier this week doing the viral “golden elf” scavenger hunt. We overheard a conversation between a mom, daughter and an employee.. when I had gone up and asked a few more question about the scavenger hunt, the same employee had told us not to follow the person hiding the golden elfs because it “ruins” the game (which we were not planning to do anyway) and that it was supposed to be fun and fair for everyone… Me and my Friend found the first two, along with the other people who had found the next two…. There was one more elf hidden. While I was looking at merchandise I wanted to spend the coupon on I had saw the same employee that was talking to the mom and daughter at the begging point and tell them where the last elf was hidden (it was hidden in the Christmas cards in the front) when the mom still couldn’t find it, the same employee had spun the rack around pulled it out and gave it to the mom. Not to mention there were other costumers still looking for the last elf. I thought it was very unfair and hypocritical of the employee to do specially when she was the one that had stated “to make things fair for everyone else”. This game is supposed to be fair for everyone but this location has employees telling showing costumers where they are at, is not fair in my opinion and messes up the game for...

I love this place! Due to an oddly shaped design flaw in my car, I couldn’t fit a couch in it—do car manufacturers ever think about moving things?? Since I’ve had something similar happen with a hatchback, I knew we could take everything out of the box and put the individual piece in. Previous stores have given me the box and I’ve taken everything out by myself in the parking lot and tried to figure out what to do with a gargantuan empty box. Not the folks at Cost Plus! They helped me take the things out of the box and then disposed of it (reminding me that this meant this furniture is now mine regardless of circumstances).

I’m also not the best at design. I knew I wanted a specific pillow but had no clue what accent pillows to use with it. A wonderful individual walked around with me and helped me find 2 pillows that look perfect. Super smart move because along the way, I picked up some kitchen stuff I wouldn’t have seen on an end cap.

The only negative and it’s probably just the area: the other Cost Plus’s tend to have more unique wine selections. I like Malbecs and this one has pretty basic options you can get anywhere, but that’s not worth...

I love World Market, but my experience yesterday picking up an item I ordered online has made me hesitant to shop at this location ever again. The salesman who brought out the item was extremely rude. He got irrationally angry with me and even mean when he brought out the wrong item to me. He hadn't asked for the name on my order so the mix-up was not too terribly unexpected. The mix-up is not why I am writing this negative review, however. The wildly inappropriate reaction by the salesman to the mix-up is the reason for this review. He raised his voice to me, and even scoffed and eye-rolled when I apologized for his trouble caused by the mix-up. When he came back with the correct item, he dumped it off the dolly at my husband, who caught it, and then sarcastically told us to have a nice day.
