Today I decided to do lunch at the mall; I even shocked myself by saying that, lunch at the mall?? Yes, at the Kitsap Mall!! The last time I was there and tried Stir Fry 88, I was pretty happy with the results of what I ate, but I noticed, while I was there, the mall offered another little restaurant, in this case, a small taco shop called Taquiza Taco Shop. Mexican food is what's for lunch today! The first thing I noticed was that the little taco shop had plenty to offer but not an overwhelming menu like some of the places I have been to; you know those places where your reading and reading and suddenly you forget the first items on the menu you've read. It was a difficult choice between bean and cheese burrito and a taco; I decided on a taco; I wasn't overwhelmingly hungry but wanted to experience this taco shop. I believe authentic Mexican tacos are called street tacos and are smaller in size; there may be more sizes offered in Mexico, but this is what I am familiar with in Washington. Two corn tortillas are used, not hard taco shells you think of that Taco bell uses, or you purchase at local grocery stores. Which are fine, and there is no right or wrong on what you like or prefer. The corn tortillas are topped with meat; I chose Asada, which is beef; also added are onion, cilantro, and a slice of lime on the side but with no cheese. I have had salsa before as a side with other taco places; today, I think this was salsa verde, but I cannot confirm that, but I can ensure this sauce had deep flavors and some kick to it! This was my reasoning behind a five star, how authentic it seems and tasted. Also, you may be able to add additional toppings, I am not entirely sure about that, but in my opinion, I would try them just as they are, at least for the first time! Overall it was a tasty little taco; my only regret is I didn't order two! The Taquiza Taco Shop staff were friendly and helpful, and the area looked clean and not cluttered; the staff was clean, from what I could see. Yes, I plan on returning to try something else! The Taquiza Taco Shops location is inside the Kitsap Mall, at the food court area's main entrance. You can also choose to have it delivered! The prices are reasonable, especially for a mall location. **Shop, eat and enjoy all things local, have strength, be kind and stay well**

Decent and a much needed food option added to the Silverdale mall. For those of you who do not know, Silverdale mall does not have a full blown food court. With the recent addition of Taquiza, that puts the restaurants within the mall at five - three full blown dine in restaurants and two food court type restaurants. So let's talk about Taquiza. It is yummy, it is affordable, and easy to find/access if you are inside the mall. Customer service is nice, patient, and friendly. Food is seemingly cooked A La Carte with a variety of Hispanic drinks options and a small choice of desserts. Being very familiar with authentic Hispanic food I would give the flavors and quality of Taquiza a passing score. Do not get me wrong, there are better Hispanic food options nearby in Silverdale however if you are in the mall and jonesing for a quick bite, this will suffice. For what Taquiza is, whenever I am inside the Silverdale mall I will probably go have a quick bite and be on my way because of the convenience and decent food options. I also recommend that if you are in the mall to check this place out, you will not be disappointed but do manage expectations.

I went once before it was "ok!" Today, a year later, decided to have lunch - awful! First of all, the female working the counter forgot my drink and then rolled her eyes when I reminded her - Strike one! Ordered the three taco plate, asada tacos - HORRIBLE! THIS WASN'T asada! It was nasty ground beef and overly salted and just nasty - strike two! I couldn't eat it but decided to try the refried beens. Who adds so much salt to refined beens? Cold and just uneatable - strike three! I will NEVER go back! The service was horrible and the food was worse! I want to support local businesses but if your employees don't want us too, it doesn't help. I will try again in a year

I went to eat last week with my husband and after getting up from the table I had left a Bath & Body Works on the chair beside me. I went back a week later (because we live out of town) just to ask and see if someone turned it in, I was helped by a young lady that was at the register, when I asked she automatically said yes we found it but I don’t know where it was placed let me look around in the mean time while my coworker gets here and I ask him where he placed it. Her coworker arrives and she lets him know I was the person that left the bag, his immediate response was that he had given my bag to mall security for safekeeping. Long story short I went to mall security and no bag was ever turned in, mall security escorted me back to LA TAQUIZA to see if we can speak to the man I had spoken to before. Security asked him who was the guard he had given my belongings to but he had no recollection, didn’t know if the guard was a Man or Women, which to me didn’t make sense at all, mind you the mall doesn’t have many security associates, he also did even know the time frame of when he turned my belongs to security he kept switching up his words. At the end of the day it’s not about what I had bought at Bath and Body Works but it’s about just being honest and doing the right thing. Honesty takes...
