*UPDATE on Energy Island Smoothie* While walking the Kitsap Mall, I decided to treat myself to one of Energy Island Drink afterwards. Because I generated so much heat walking, I opted for an Iced Latte instead of the Americano I have grown to love so much. 12 oz Nonfat Iced Latte ($2.75) no flavors or sugar added. What I can say is that the Cutters point coffee shined through. It was pretty unique to what I am used to getting when I get an Iced Latte. It definitely had the background taste of caramel and almost a very light sweet taste; I know the barista didn't add sugar because I watched him make it. It was different but tasty and refreshing! --------------------------------------------------- The other day in Kitsap Mall, while waiting for the little taco shop to open, I wandered over to Energy Island Smoothies, not that I was looking to purchase a smoothie but more or less out of curiosity about their menu. I noticed they had various options for their fruit-based smoothies and several items to add if you choose to do so; what I read sounded good! As I read over their menu, Roya (manager) greeted me; she was friendly, chatty and very pleasant. I did ask if she could make a nonfat green tea frappuccino, and although not having the green tea powder that I am used to getting, she was more than willing to attempt it by using green tea-tea bags or green tea syrup. This way may taste good, but it wouldn't be the same. I also noticed they served most of your typical espresso drinks that you would find at any coffee stand with five different sizes offered, and 12 oz being the smallest. The prices seemed very close to what you can find at other coffee stands. What the heck, I may not need more coffee in my life, but it seemed like the perfect opportunity to have an Americano. After tasting this Americano, I couldn't believe what an incredible flavor it had. I felt it was medium to a bold taste but not burnt by any means, this sounds strange, but it tasted creamy. Still, with no cream added and very smooth with no acidic taste or after taste, it was so good I went back today for another one to see if it was as good as my last one, and to me, it was flawless! I understand everyone's taste is different, and some people have their standard go-to place for coffee or espresso. I am not suggesting to disregard those places at all; kudos to you for supporting those jobs and businesses, but what I am saying is to broaden your horizons and at least try something new. I can't attest to how good any of their other drinks or smoothies are, but I certainly love the Americanos they make. By the way, the coffee they use is by Cutters Point Coffee Company; I believe their primary location is out of Gig Harbor, WA. Energy Island Smoothies location is in the Kitsap Mall, food court entrance. The hours start at 11 am most days. **Don't forget to support your locally owned small businesses and stay strong, stay healthy and be kind**

I got a smoothie for lunch while on a road trip and it was so good! I was so happy they have a vegan protein option to add to the smoothie! I got and highly recommend my custom smoothie: strawberry banana smoothie with peanut butter, vegan vanilla protein, and spinach! Wish there was one closer to where I live!

I come here a lot because I love their smoothies, but after what happened to me today makes me never want to come back again. I got there at 6:20pm I seen they had a sign up that said “no one is here right now” so I went to winco and grabbed a couple things came back at 6:40 and they were still not there so I sat and waited. The guy came back at 6:52 and started closing the store in front of me. I said excuse me are you closed? He said yes I said it’s not even 7pm I been waiting out here for half an hour can you please make me a smoothie. He said “talk to the mall, I had to go get peanut butter I’m closing I don’t know what to tell you” idk where he went to get peanut butter but he was gone for so long and not only that he was so rude. I always had good encounters with who I believe is the owner but this young man who was working there today was super rude and unprofessional. He also did not want to...

I’ve been going here for years ( before they were in the mall) and love the smoothies and coffee here. I will no longer go when the blonde artist girl works there. I’ve had two experiences with her ignoring me as a customer. She let a guy ask a question right before I was about to say my order, and then she had a long conversation with him while I stood there waiting to place my order. Second time I was waiting in line for a long time while she just chatted with the ladies in front of me forever. Needless to say, I got tired of waiting and being ignored so I took my business elsewhere. I understand being friendly and great customer service but she needs to provide that to ALL customers. When there is a line...
