Doesn't derserve any stars. By far one the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. One of the worst Thai restaurants I have visited period, and I have been to tons of them. To start, I completely understand that the restaurant is understaffed. Not a problem, my family and I have no problem having to wait due to staffing issues. It is out of the staffs control. The biggest issue with this establishment, the temperature. This is New Hampshire. It gets cold. The restaurant is freezing. The heat is on, but it cannot keep up with the windows that allow in so much cold air due to an aged building structure. The take out window is also a major problem. It is so wide that it allows cold air into the restaurant at overwhelming rates. The heating system is too weak to keep up. The owners of this place should be ashamed. Ridiculous that they cannot provide adequate heating given the climate of this region. The waitress was also having to deal with the freezing temperatures. For the record, the waitress tried her best. She was the only one there. After an hour of waiting, the apps were finally brought out and only 2 entrees were brought out despite two members of the party getting the same thing. We were the only ones in the restaurant at the time the order was taken. The food? Not so great. Tom Yum missing tons of flavor. Very bland. Green Curry with chicken, very watery and not rich. Pad Thai? It was good, and the portion was good too. That was really the only thing that was worth waiting for. The people calling this authentic have never tried true authentic Thai food. I love Thai food. My family never tried it before, and I wanted to introduce it to them. I am sorrowful that this was their first experience with it. I will make it up to them, but not at this establishment! Management, get your...
Read moreI ordered takeout, got the drunken noodles and pad thais and some kid stuff.
frozen vegetables -- For the prices they charge I expect fresh ingredients, how hard is it to use fresh vegetables?? Instead I am greeted with the cheapest of cheap frozen vegetable melange -- you know the crap you pick out of a cheap Chinese buffet?
the noodles -- mushy. Not much to say, not great.
flavor -- bland. Did they run everything through the flavor extractor? I have had tastier food in prison.
Spice -- understand their clientele is American and so they aren't making things thai spicy, but I ordered "Hot" drunken noodles and I've had spicier cheerios for breakfast.
Service -- I asked the auntie there to change an ice tea from unsweetened to sweetened. She shook her head and said it wasn't possible, showed me the receipt showing an unsweetened tea was ordered. Huh, maybe a language barrier? I asked again, told her I wanted to change it. She reluctantly agrees, then tells me it will cost an extra dollar. First, the price difference is .50$ on their menu, and second, I have just ordered $100 worth of food with a $20 tip on top of that. Charge me if you want but this is braindead behavior from a business standpoint. I point out that it is a $.50 difference on their menu, not a dollar. She tells me it is a dollar with tax. I stare at her. She brings out a calculator and hits some buttons, shows me its now $.75 with tax.
The positive? Eating the swill they serve here will give you something to compare real...
Read moreI'm sorry to post a less than positive review after this restaurant has been our families favorite Thai option in the area for so many years. Today we ordered take out (all that is available at the moment) and ordered two meals and two appetizers, the issue being our steamed chicken dumpling appetizer ended up being fried chicken tenders with french fries... definitely not what we had asked for. When I called the restaurant the gentleman (owner?) told me I had asked for chicken tenders. I was crystal clear that we were ordering the dumplings and it put me off he questioned what I had ordered. I told him my son wasn't interested in the fried chicken and could we come back to pick up the dumplings, a $6 appetizer (Order total was over $40). He said yes but I must return the chicken tenders (another $6 item)... I said sure and my wife made the 10 minute drive back to "exchange" their mistake. Can't say I would handle something so minor like this in this way, especially given how take-out service is keeping restaurants viable at the moment. Unfortunately for them we have two other Thai restaurants in the area to choose from (3 if you add the Chinese/Japanese/Thai place)... so it will be awhile before we place another order with them... which is sad for us because there food is some of the best but the service on this...
