
Why the lies? SalonShe is copying and pasting lies as a defense which is unprofessional and prior to Mercedes(the owner) editing her responses with lies,she was being ignorant, derogatory and degrading. Let me address the lies that Mercedes stated. 1. (Complimentary tightening without an appointment).The truth is Mercedes’s stylist Kashmere did my hair incorrectly. There were strands sticking out of my hair that needed to be cut, and since i just paid 700 plus dollars for the service that day, they fixed the issue they caused by cutting the strands and also tightening the weave that was loose. Within a day, I felt that because her Stylist Kashmere did the weave loosely and lack of precision,Mercedes fixed the issue and after reading these responses and lies,I really wish I could get my money back for all the terrible services that I paid in which I have receipts of payment because no customer deserves to be treated so badly. 2.) Provision of free hair, worn for two installs. The truth is, the first time I received services at your facility, the weave was installed so poorly, that I could barely comb the hair because of the terrible quality bundle you sold me. When I complained the very next day, and requested a refund, you refused, and even after confirming in person that the hair was bad, you instead decided to replace the hair with another bundle. Instead of installing it in, you left me with a tangled weave and told me to use the replacement bundle on my next install. Is this the professional service that you claim your company provides? Is this what you refer to as“ free” bundles for poor and mismanaged work? 3.)Waived cancellation fee for a no-show). That's another lie,I was never a no show, but I do have texts receipts from Mercedes receptionist stating that her stylist was not available the day that I had an appointment scheduled and when I asked for my deposit back, the receptionist said I could not get my deposit back. I was forced to reschedule my appointment in order to not waste $150, so what Mercedes meant to say was HER stylist was an no show. 4.)Accommodated pop-ups without an appointment.) As per your website states a deposit needs to be provided to schedule an appointment, therefore, I've never "popped up" without an appointment, and I have receipts to prove that as well. 5.) Squeezed in your schedule without an appointment.)If I would have known these lies would have been told then it was pointless to provide 150$ dollar deposit that was nonrefundable. 6.) Extended a two-hour late service without notification) this is another lie the truth is Mercedes sent me home since I live 5 minutes away and called it an hour lunch break while she serviced another client and then she called me when she was ready for me to come back which worked best for her and her other client.
7.) Last but not least, you mentioned that you were prepared to work on unwashed hair without additional charge. To address this lie, you did a bad weave for 400$ and then I went out of town because i had business to handle. I suffered and was advised by everybody about how bad my weave looked. Read moreI went to Salon She, after being a client for two years, and booked an appointment with Kadijah to correct a hair color treatment that needed a bit of toning per her recommendation. The first appointment was late December and color correction appointment January.
From start, the appointment went off on the wrong foot. The appointment was supposed to start at 4pm and I didn’t get seated until 4:45pm. Almost an hour later which was not the first time that this had happened to me with this particular stylist. She then proceeded to review my services for the day and asked how I felt about her idea to improve my hair color that she initially did but turned out too gold/yellow. I explained that only the tips of my hair was bleached but I wish she would had brought the color up more like I initially wanted 3weeks ago. She then explained that would require more bleaching and I said no—- let’s just continue with the initial tone, Hydration, and silk press that I booked so my hair doesn’t get damaged. She seemed surprised that I said silk press and I told her yes that’s what I originally booked through the owner but she kept insisting that I only booked tone and hydration which was note true. I had to explain as an Executive I cant just leave the salon which my hair wet and in an Afro looking crazy and she wasn’t confident on doing a professional wash and go style.
Long story short, I sat underneath the dryer, rinsed and went back to Kadijah’s chair. I was shocked to see MORE Chemicals? She then explained —-oh, this is toning. I asked —-oh I thought that’s what we just did and she said no—- I bleached your hair. I backed up and said okay no I’m a bit confused. I’m lost. What are we doing today.
She then complained that I was using all of her products, and now asking for a silk press. I explained to her that money wasn’t an issue and that I HAD booked toner, hydration, and silk press with the owner!
The argument transformed into an outburst in-front of the entire salon and its clients. Embarrassing! The owner said nothing at all.
We had to walk over to the owner and force her to meditate—-note my hair was wet with chemicals in it —- we explained to the owner the conflict.
Kadijah then walks out of the salon, my stylist and yells I’M not doing her hair. Note—-Again my hair wet & full of chemicals.
The owner and another stylist did help me wash out the chemicals and style but the owner still asked for payment?I found that quite odd—- you had a stylist yell at me and I showed proof that my appointment was booked correctly, showed pictures that the hair color pattern did not match to what I requested? The service should have been complimentary. I’ve never had a stylist “walk” out on me, ever!

Read moreKinda a weird experience here. I specifically chose this place cause it appeared the most professional online. I work at a spa so maybe my expectations were too high?… I came 15 min early for my appointment because we ask our guest to do that and still had to wait half hour so 45 min total for my stylist to show up I guess there was some confusion on her end so I was understanding as things happen however still disappointing since my whole day was pushed back. My stylist was not very friendly, again I chose this place hoping to find someone knowledgeable because I had a few questions I wanted a professionals opinion on but I kept asking questions and barely got a response lol it seemed like she didn’t want to be doing my hair. Left 3 stars because the place is clean which is important & my hair looks fine even though I was sitting in the chair very concerned because my hair felt soooo dry after rinsing I could feel the knots as she was combing it out which was very odd to me I don’t know what was put in because there was no communication or updates on how my hair took to the treatment. So yeah kinda disappointing but I’m sure there are great stylist here just wasn’t my experience...
