The Shops at Dos Lagos — Attraction in Corona

Baco, what can I say! Nice job! I took my wife here for her birthday! As you walk in, the vibe is upscale and the staff is exceptionally friendly! The menu is upscale so be prepared to drop some coin here. They offer a full bar and also have draught and bottled beer and a full selection of wine by the bottle or by the glass! You can also bring your own bottle but they charge a corking fee. The food menu is solid. It’s not huge but that usually means your ingredients are fresher. My wife had the seafood linguine and I had the Basil chicken penne pasta with chips and guacamole as an appetizer! All of our food was very good! No complaints. We both also ordered a Long Island Iced Tea which was done well too! All in all, I’d go back and want to try their other options! I hear their steaks are brilliant, especially their tomahawk cuts! That’ll have to wait till next time!

My only con was that our table top hadn’t been wiped down. Everything else was clean so probably just an oversight....

My usual enthusiasm for Dos Lagos was dampened by the disappointing snow event this weekend. The snow was hard packed by noon, and more concerning was the overwhelming presence of security personnel. The large number of uniformed and armed personnel, at least six of whom were stationed in a small area near the playground, created an intimidating atmosphere. This made me question the safety of the mall and wonder if such a large security presence was truly necessary. Consequently, I felt uneasy and restricted in my ability to freely explore the vendors, as the security personnel seemed to be constantly monitoring the guests. In light of this experience, I would not attend the snow event again. Notably, my recent attendance at a beer event was a vastly different experience, with a much more subdued security presence. First time visiting this Chili's restaurant location which was a wonderful experience. Walked in with my daughter & granddaughter pleasantly greeted and put on the list to be seated (short wait). We were escorted to our table and a very nice individual shared that our server would be right with us. Matthew probably showed up and introduced himself, started us out with our strawberry lemonade and spinach appetizer (very tasty), and helped us with our selection steak asparagus and cheese potatoes which were superb! Matthew is very professional and kind giving a comfortable rapport. He brought out extra's without us asking and periodically checking on us to see if there was anything else we wanted with our meal.
