I suffer from a rare genetic disorder, called ”Fabry Disease.” The disease affects all the vital organs, such as the kidneys, heart, and brain, to name a few. With the disease comes some very difficult symptoms. I normally would get Enzyme Replacement Therapy (ERT), I used to get them but unfortunately I had severe anaphylactic reaction. Which led me to have to be admitted every Friday at the hospital to get the ERT which would last from 7:00 am until 8:00 pm, my Geneticist who is just a wonderful blessing in my life has been nothing but supportive and has collaborated with other doctors to try and figure out how I could receive the ERT without the severe reactions. Last September of 2017, I had a life-threatening reaction that ended me being in cardiac ICU and being intubated. Since then, my doctor and I have agreed to hold off on any ERT infusions, until something else comes along. In the meantime, I have had to try and learn how to cope with the excruciating pain and other symptoms from the disease.
Earlier this morning on November 30th, around 1:30 am, my body began to overheat. My organs feel like they are cooking from the inside causing me to be in excruciating pain. I was not able to reduce the overheating until 7:00 am. This left me in severe pain and I was barley able to walk. My entire body is extremely sensitive to the touch, my body is beyond exhausted, and every part of my body is extremely sore. I have been drinking a lot of water to keep hydrated and I have an appointment to float at ”Float State” in Corona. I wanted to share with everyone that this place is amazing, the owner is so compassionate, the staff is beyond helpful and friendly, and they are doing wonderful things at ”Float State.” They have Halogen Therapy, which is a salt room to help individuals with skin disorders, asthma, and other breathing disorders. I have gone and it has helped with my asthma. They have an infrared sauna which helps to sweat out the bodies toxins (but this is definitely not for me since I am unable to sweat). They also have Cryotherapy, which I have not tried yet, but if they were open at the time when my body was overheating, I would have definitely gone and tried it.
I Would also like to share with other patients that live in the Inland Empire, that I truly believe that they too would benefit from floating. I was skeptical at first, I tried it the first time and I did not really see any benefits, the second time I tried it, I thought I saw some results, but I thought it was all in my head. By the third time, I truly saw the benefits from floating. There was a grey film over my chest after floating and I came out of there with a majority of the pain substantially decreased. It did not take the pain away completely, but the result was incredible. I have floated for a total of four times (five once I complete today's floating session).
I tried to view it from a logical perspective, but the more and more I thought about it from a logical standpoint, it didn't make sense. It is something that requires to being open-minded and thinking outside of the box, viewing it from the outside common sense.
I will follow up and share with you all how I feel after...
Read moreA Tranquil Journey to Radiance: A Holistic Facial Review In my pursuit of wellness and self-care, I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a holistic facial that transcended the boundaries of traditional skincare. This unique journey took place at Float State, and it's safe to say that it was nothing short of transformative. From the moment I walked through the door, I was enveloped in an aura of serenity. The ambiance of the spa itself played a crucial role in setting the tone for the holistic facial. Soft, ambient lighting, soothing music, and a delicate infusion of calming scents instantly put me at ease. The session began with a thorough consultation with the Gage a skilled esthetician. Unlike a regular facial, this experience aimed to encompass not just the physical aspect of skincare, but also the emotional and spiritual dimensions. The Gage’s warm demeanor and attentive listening made me feel valued as an individual with unique needs and concerns. The facial treatment itself was a harmonious symphony of touch and intention. The use of all-natural, organic products heightened the sense of connection to nature throughout the session. Each step of the facial felt purposeful and carefully curated to promote relaxation and holistic well-being. Gentle exfoliation, nourishing masks, and revitalizing serums were applied with mindful strokes, bringing about a sense of rejuvenation both inside and out. What truly set this holistic facial apart was the incorporation of additional elements. Aromatherapy played a significant role, with essential oils tailored to my preferences being diffused throughout the room. This enhanced the sensory experience and allowed me to fully immerse myself in the present moment. But the highlight of the journey was the energy work seamlessly integrated into the facial. Gage incorporated subtle energy techniques that left me feeling not only physically revitalized but also spiritually aligned. It was as if stress and tension were gently lifted away, replaced by a profound sense of tranquility. As the session drew to a close, I noticed the radiant glow and plumpness in the mirror. However, it wasn't just the outer transformation that amazed me; it was the inner shift in my mindset. The holistic facial had succeeded in transcending the superficial to touch upon a deeper sense of well-being.M my experience with the holistic facial at Float State was nothing short of exceptional. It wasn't merely a skincare treatment; it was a journey that nourished my body, mind, and soul. From the skillful hands of Gage to the thoughtfully curated ambiance, every aspect contributed to a harmonious and transformative experience. If you're seeking not just a facial, but a holistic rejuvenation that resonates on multiple levels, I wholeheartedly recommend embarking on this tranquil journey...
Read moreFor Father's Day, my youngest gifted me a one-hour float in the sensory deprivation tank followed by a one-hour massage at Float State. It was absolutely amazing. So relaxing and restorative.
I have had many massages over the years and have spent a lot of time in sensory deprivation tanks. Float State truly impressed me on every level.
I wasn't sure how bad traffic would be, so I arrived 30 minutes early and expected to wait, but instead I was warmly welcomed and taken in right away. After removing my shoes and socks at the front entrance, I was shown to the changing room and given a robe. A staff member then gave me a tour of the facility, including the infrared room, the salt room, and a quiet lounge where guests can relax with tea before or after their sessions. That lounge was especially helpful for me, since I tend to feel a bit "massage drunk" after sessions and appreciate a place to sit and gather myself before driving.
The attention to detail at Float State is exceptional. The visuals of soothing jellyfish on the TVs, the soft music playing throughout the space, the sound of water during the massage, the high-quality robes and towels, the scent of the soap and shampoo, and even the thoughtful extras in the float room like Vaseline, vinegar, and ear plugs all shows how much care has gone into creating a relaxing experience. I also appreciated how the staff avoided walking through the relaxation area, choosing instead to walk around it to maintain a peaceful atmosphere.
My massage was with Shelby, who was outstanding. She asked clear and thoughtful questions beforehand about health conditions, allergies, and preferences. Her communication was excellent, and her massage technique was even better. I told her afterward that it felt like she was reading my body and instinctively knew where to focus. She checked in a few times during the session to make sure I was comfortable and that the pressure was right. No adjustments were needed. She was amazing.
I truly believe this may have been one of the best massages I have ever received. I will absolutely be returning to Float State and recommending it to others. It is a beautiful space with caring professionals who go above and beyond to provide a deeply restorative experience. Thank you to the staff at...
