Just “a cool little story about the statue and why it exists”. This statue literally represents the UDT Frogmen, which are the forefathers to modern day Navy SEALs. It’s placed in Glorietta Bay Park, Coronado. Within sight of NAB Coronado, both “wet” and “dry” sides. BUD/S is not more than a stone’s throw away as well. Many of the combat swimmer ops and MarOps are launched from this location. So yeah, “just a little story about a statue and why it exists”.
