JoJo Nails — Attraction in Costa Mesa

Got a TERRIBLE infection in 3 of my fingers that has spanned about 5 weeks now. Had to go to urgent care twice, on antibiotics 4x/day for 10 days, and they told me if that still wasn't enough, next step was ER for an IV antibiotic. On the last day of my prescription, it started clearing enough to not have to go to ER, thankfully. Still dealing with an unsightly pink/brown wound that is still healing, requires daily attention and care to keep from reinfection, wrapping it up when I go in public, etc. I go to Italy in 2 weeks. This has completely taken over my summer. Had to miss multiple days of work. Pain got so bad I was reduced to tears. Swollen so badly I couldn't bend my finger for over a week. 5 weeks later, still can't walk with my hand below heart level or the numbness comes flooding back. Consistent numbness and tingling and swelling/pressure, fluid build up under my fingernail. Still can't completely bend my finger. Such a completely avoidable situation. On top of all that, I now have 4 ingrown nails. I told the salon what happened after my first urgent care visit. They asked me to come in so they could take pics and give me a gift card. I went in with my very swollen finger (peak pain and swelling 2 days after this) and they took pics, asked me if I remembered who did it (no, I didn't) then was issued a gift card. I was so frustrated I threw it in the back of my car without looking at it. Just looked at it the other day - gift card was $22. I have been loyal to this salon for years but I am too traumatized from this experience to not warn others. I can still barely eat from how badly the antibiotics ruined my gut balance. Still can't exercise.. cool. Can't spend too much time in the sun or else my body temp goes up and the swelling gets worse.. if I can't walk around Italy in peace, I will be escalating my complaints. Would post pics, but going to spare everyone of that horrid sight. Take heed, go elsewhere, and WATCH them disinfect tools. Unbelievable experience. I went here because I was in the area. When I came inside, a woman wearing a mask just stared at me long enough to feel awkward without saying hello. I greeted her and told her the service id like, she said to come back because there was no one available to do my nails. There were two customer in the salon, a guy getting a pedicure, and a lady at the nail bar. They weren’t busy. I smiled and said I’d come back, but I didn’t return. I just got my nails done there, it was my first time trying that place, and not only are their tools not clean, I specifically asked for very narrow acrylics and had to tell the girl i had, Lisa, that i wanted them more narrow about 5 times and instead of her making them narrow, she told me my nail bed was too big even though i’ve gotten them narrow at every place i’ve been too with no problems.
