I don't see how anyone could give this theatre less than a 5 star rating. In this day, with movie prices soaring over $13-$14 (especially in LA/OC), a place like this is a rarity. The prices here are INSANE. I thought this was one of those "dollar" theatres, where they show movies right before they go to DVD at a discount. Nope. This place shows new movies.
Regular prices are $12 a person, $11 with student ID. But this is a small section of movies.
Discounts: Tuesday & Wednesday - $6! How?! Before Noon-6pm - $8! Before Noon - $6!
But the best part? They have a baller Groupon. One of the best, where basically you get 2 tickets and the biggest bag of popcorn you've ever seen in your life for around $22-$25. And that's before you add various 10%-20% discounts and any eBates you can.
I've bought two of these..I think each time I got 2 movie tickets and a popcorn for like $14. Amazing.
I've noticed they recently added the feature (for free) where you get to pick your seats. TIP: don't sit too close. The first 4-5 rows are pretty close. But I like this feature.
Sure the seats and whatnot aren't the best, but I...
Read moreThe ticket prices are reasonable, and the theater is clean and well maintained. The staff was helpful with my wife's wheelchair, and getting us to our seats. They also politely moved some people out of the seats we were supposed to have. We didn't have to try and deal with them ourselves and possibly invoke hard feelings. (I grew up before theaters had designated seats. I'm not sure designated seats are an entirely unmixed blessing.) The movie was clear and without distortion or artifacts. The sound was well synchronized with the picture, and seemed to come from the correct location. (Imagine seeing a bus moving from left to right, but the sound moving in the opposite direction. I'm happy to report this didn't happen in this theater.) The audio was clear, distinct, and not too loud. (I always carry a pair of ear plugs with me. The sound can be painfully loud in some theaters.) The popcorn and snacks are way overpriced, but that is normal for a movie theater. Overall, we had a pleasant visit and...
Read moreDon’t go here if you have to pee. I specifically came here to watch a movie. I parked my car, headed to Prince Street Pizza, and was looking forward to killing a few hours and watching a movie. After Pizza, I headed upstairs into the movie theater. I walked right in to use the bathroom asap. Just had to pee real quick. I wasn’t allowed in because bathroom was for customers only. I was there to see a movie, so I was definitely a customer. I laughed so hard at the fact that they didn’t believe I was a customer and just left. You should let your customers pee. They lost my business. I mean, I’m really clean in the bathroom too. Like, I clean up after myself and make sure the pee doesn’t...
