Costa Mesa Speedway is a local fund historic event. Back in the 1970s, 1980s and even the 1990s the Costa Mesa Speedway track was the SoCal favorite place to go. The sport has unfortunately dwindle away, it is not as popular as it used to be but it's still a good time and for a lot of us it's a tradition. I used to go to Speedway every week as a kid, this was where we hung out back in the day on Friday nights. Fast-forward almost 40 years and we only get roughly a half a dozen races for the year compared to 24 races so for some of us this is a special place, a lot of childhood memories and now we just sit in the stands, drink beer and watch the 1970s go around the track. They always have a really good band, the sidecars are fun, Harley night is wild and nobby night is not my favorite but it's still changes things up a little bit and depending on who shows up it can be really entertaining.

My grandfather raced here after he came home from WWII serving in North Africa and Italy he opened up a gas station in Santa Ana on Main Street the Flyin' A Service. He raced the weekends after working building his midget race cars. They would race during the day and at night. I have fond memories of the raceway and Gramps building his cars with his race friends.

A great event. Racing was exciting! The woman who sang the national anthem was awesome. There was a band too! It was wonderful to see so many young families attending.

They say on website they are cashless . You get there after waiting to get in parking lot and paying for parking and it says cash only ! There are ATMs right there that charge you $5.99 to use . They know they have you. They probably own the ATMs! My bank then slapped on another $10 for the cash advance! That is false advertising! So many people were using the ATMS. This is a scam . I want my money back . They do not offer a senior ticket. I will find out how to contact Brad Oxley the owner directly! I will contact the BBB. This is...

The phone number is not active !! We have questions about saving seats once we are inside. As the grandparents, the parents and the young grandkids will come closer to the starting time. Thank you, looking forward to the finals. We attended the finals up in Auburn a few years back. Loved it !! Marilyn and Ed (Mission Viejo) Update: All went well !! Great family atmosphere. Grands were enthralled !! So much fun and...
