There are at least 3 local galleries I enjoy visiting every few months: Penn Cove Gallery in Coupeville, Garry Oak Gallery on Pioneer in Oak Harbor and Scott Milo Gallery in Anacortes.

They are wonderful sources of diverse-medium local art and provide shopping opportunities for economical gifts representing life on Whidbey Island.

Penn Cove Gallery offers eclectic selections of pottery, blown glass, paintings, jewelry and wood working. Good lighting and perspective matched with friendly (artisan) staff make it wonderful...

The Penn Cove Gallery is my favorite gallery! I love the wide variety of art mediums and the different styles used by the artists. Coupeville is my favorite place in the world and I particularly love the art focused around the town and also Whidbey Island as a whole. The staff (usually artists themselves with work featured in the shop) are friendly and fantastic. ...
