Ah, Molka Xete, who knew heaven had house-made tortillas and a view? Molka Xete doesn’t just serve food, it throws a flavorful fiesta with a guest list that includes your taste buds, two frolicking sea otters, and maybe a pinch too much salt (looking at you, fish tacos).
• Tortillas? So good, I considered folding one into a pillow. • Guacamole? Very good… but sprinkle a little salt on it and boom: Michelin Star energy. • Chicken Street Tacos? Absolute rockstars. Like the taco version of a well-coached football team: balanced, satisfying, and no unnecessary roughness. • Fish Tacos? Slightly salty, but still swimming in solid flavor. • Chips and Hot Sauce? Homemade heroes. Crunchy, spicy, and clearly made by someone who knows their way around both a fryer and the human soul.
And then there’s the view: sea otters doing synchronized swimming while you contemplate whether it’s socially acceptable to lick the paper lining of your serving basket. Verdict: yes.
Bravo, Molka Xete. Coupville may be small, but this place is throwing culinary punches well above its...

Context also counts and that’s what earned them the fifth star. This restaurant is located in a small town on an island, where businesses are not always open when you’d hope they’d be, and after don’t have much to choose from.
We ate on their balcony beside the restaurant since we had the dog. There were only a couple small benches. No table, no chairs, no sun umbrella. Those would go great with their finger food and killer view to...
Read morePlenty of seating room at this ocean-side taco stop. The food was pretty good — the guacamole was flavourful, the chips were well-salted, and the complimentary bean soup was good. We ordered a variety of tacos and while all of the meats had a good, tender-cooked, texture, they were not super flavourful; more seasoning in the slow cooking process would make them truly great. The prices are reasonable for the portion size. The only disappointments were that 1) the second time we came by they were sold out of tacos (idk how this happens midday??) and 2) that they stop serving breakfast burritos at a rather random time (before the 11am noted on the menu). Plenty of parking in the area. Good...
