The Outlet By E.L.S. — Attraction in Covina

If you love Costco and the Kirkland brand, you are likely to likely to like E.L.S. Outlet. The sell overstock or slow moving products from Costco and other big-box stores. You can find some really good deals here but be aware that some prices on their products may not be the best price. Overall though, we have been very satisfied with our finds and often, we find some really good bargains. Their return policy should be scrutinized as many items cannot be returned unless defective. Most sales are final with any return (with a receipt) good for store credit. There staff is friendly and very helpful. Most can offer good advice on products that are good and others that you might want to steer clear of. They have some really great extra sales days but be prepared to spend a lot of time selecting your goods and checking out. A most recent trip during one of these sales, the line was more than two hours to checkout. They even had a line for getting a cart that took 30 minutes. Needless to say, we walked in, looked around, and walked out after saying a short prayer for the lost souls with despair on their faces as they creeped imperceptibly towards the cash registers. I came in early to purchase a desk and an employee from the back room brought out two new ones. I asked for one and the employee said yes i could have one and that he’d bring out an employee to write a sold ticket for me so i could purchase it. As another employee wrote off a ticket for one of the desks for a phone call customer he also slapped a sold sticker on the second desk (that i had claimed) for an “employee named Brian”. I explained to the manager that his employee from the backroom said we could have it before writing off hold/sold for their “employee”. The manager was very rude and said without a ticket he couldn’t help us out, yet we had explained that his employee said we could already purchase it. We offered to buy the floor model desk that had been sitting there for two days with a hold/sold receipt. The Outlet “policy” is an item can only be on hold for two hours. The manager was Lorenzo, who only stated that they take good care of their employees, suggesting that their employees are more important than their customers. We noticed this huge, nice looking, store while visiting another store across the street and decided to stop in. It looked brand new but it turns out this business has been in the area for over 20 years! This store is filled with items we recognized from Costco and other retailers we shop at regularly and ACTUALLY has the items at outlet prices.. For example - the dishwasher pods I pay $14 for at Costco are $8 at The Outlet by ElS. The giant 20’ long sea serpent sprinkler I almost paid $40 for at Costco is $18. They have all kinds of clothes including Vans, Addidas, Seven Jeans, & more, furniture, pet supplies, some grocery items, name brand health and beauty products, seasonal decorations- and so much more. The store is very clean and well organized and the staff was very accessible and helpful. We will definitely be back and highly recommend checking it out. I just wish we had found The Outlet...
