I'm not happy with the manager of this store at all. My wife works across the street as a caregiver during the day and I work at night. We have one vehicle so I ride to Cullman with my wife everyday and while she's working I either sit in the car and wait on her or I may sit at the park bench to the side of the store and do my crossword puzzles. When my wife gets off work she walks across the street and we leave and drop me off at work. I've been doing this same routine for the past 2 months. I've had no problems until today when 2 police officers stopped and asked me if I was the one drinking beer in front of the store because the store manager called and told them this. First of all, I don't drink and can't stand alcohol and Second, If I did, I would have enough sense to not drink in front of a store. I am now banned from the property for waiting on my wife to get off work and take me to work. It's sad that people can be so petty about minor things but turn a blind eye to the real problem makers out there. I've watched people park behind the store everyday and eat their lunch then throw their trash out the window and even get out of there cars and dumpster dive for food but nothing has been said or done about that. I have friends that shop here that said they won't go back because of the way I was done. I would like to say to the store manager, Get to know someone and their situation before making a judgement and a false accusations that could jeopardize someone's job and...
Read moreI had purchased an item at the WDG on 157, but didn't need it. I had my original receipt and the item was unopened and not damaged and had its original seal still intact. I went to the WDG located by Hobby Lobby in Cullman. This store is on my way home and I stopped by to return this item and was going to purchase some other items as it was late and I was tired and ready to go home. The guy, I assume was the manager, came up, looked at my receipt and told me I would have to take the item all the way across town to return it to the store on 157. He said they were all under the WDG name but operated like an independent location. Ok, so I will go spend my dollars at Walmart from now on. If I have to return something there, it doesn't matter which store it came from as long as I have my receipt. I would rather shop at a local, small town store, but IF this is the kind of customer service I am going to get, forget it. I would rather save a little money and some gas as well and WalMart has more selection...
Read moreMore Expensive than walmart. I went in on 1/23/2025 and had a grocery list ready to do some shopping and what caught my eye was the canned Food Club Green beans and Corn were $0.89 per can…and i remembered looking them up at Walmart, Great Value brand was $0.64…so I pulled out my Walmart app and began to actively compare prices…EVERY SINGLE ITEM was anywhere from $0.20-$2.00 more expensive at this Store…Everything even the off brand stuff…If your wanting to pay prices more expensive than Walmart, at least go to Publix where it looks nice. This was supposed to be a Discount store…didn’t see any discounts. Just a lot of mark-ups under the guise of being a discount. Don’t believe me? Open the Walmart app and price compare when you go in, you’ll walk right back out. And i felt bad cause everyone else shopping there was Older people when i...
