Good sushi restaurant but could be a lot better. I’d give it a 3.5 rating but Google does not let you give half stars. Wait time was around 35 minutes before we got a table. It was really cold in the waiting area even with the heaters (they didn’t let us wait inside). There was only one party ahead of us, but it still took a long time to get seated. Once we were inside, we could tell the staff very busy. Servers were walking back and forth pretty fast while also fulfilling tons of online orders. They were very friendly, but we could tell it was hectic. Most of the food was good quality and had good flavor. We ordered the crispy rice with tuna, the vegetable tempura, the scallop cut roll, the lobster/scallop hand roll and two combos. The salmon nigiri tasted a bit too fishy and had the most wasabi out of all the rolls. The rest of the sushi was good, but nothing that really caught my attention, especially for the price. Overall I enjoyed most of the sushi, but I won’t be coming back at peak hours because I would not want to wait as long again. I was also disappointed with the quality of the salmon because I was expecting a lot better quality for the prices.

Great place, Amazing food. The ambiance is good not great. This place could be a fine dining experience but it is more of every day great sushi place m. One the best dish quality I have had in Los Angeles. The food is very simple but it’s extremely delicious. This a very difficult task to achieve. No unnecessary flavoring trying hard to make the food taste better. The service was very good , very fast. I love ginger and I hate that I have to continually ask for more. They kept my ginger plate full the whole time. I only wish they would take reservations as hate waiting for my table. I will be returning with my wife and friends for more. The albacore and yellowtail were to die for, Amazing. Over all rating 4.5 5 for sushi / fish 5 for service 4 for ambiance 3 for not taking reservations

My wife and I were eager to try the new sushi restaurant in Culver City on Washington Blvd. - since we live just a few blocks away, we kept waiting! Definitely worth waiting for - the sushi was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. We had a good selection, ordering the Uzumaki combination (edamame, their special ceviche, 5 pieces of nigiri and crunchy shrimp cut roll), miso soup, two kinds of tuna, and their "popcorn shrimp". All of these were really good. The waitress made sure we knew which pieces had their own sauce and therefore ones we shouldn't use additional soy sauce. We look forward to going back! So nice to have a good little sushi spot on this side of Culver City.

We’ve been going to this place for last two years and enjoy the food but the manager is obnoxious and rude. Today March 6,2020 We arrived and asked for a table of 4 - for our family (2 adults and 2 kids) . I reminded the manager to put my name down but he said “ I don’t need a name - I have you down”. Another family arrived after us and put their name down for a table of 4 as well. The manager then came To me and asked me For our name saying he had to put it on the list. I pointed out that he had written our name after two groups that had actually arrived after us. The manager said he had made a note of the order of group arrivals and that he would rembr to give us a table before the other groups of 4 that had arrived after us. 20 minutes later - I realized that the group that had arrived after us had been seated while we were still waiting to be seated. I decided not to make a scene then - as we got our table 5-10 minutes later and sat down, ordered and ate. As we were leaving I walked up to the manager and softly told him in front of the list of waiting customers that he had seated the group that arrived after us - before he seated us. He looked at me at started shouting loudly and said “ If you behave like this I shall not let you eat here again. I know what I am doing!” To which I said “ there is no Reason to shout - you can say the same thing nicely” . He then proceeded to show me the list and said that the group that arrived after us had given their name before us and then came back for their table. I simply said “ ok I could be mistaken but their is no reason to talk so rudely - this could be a genuine mistake”. He then proceeded to repeat “ you are not welcome here if you question how I am doing my job”. I simply ended it by saying that I shall not want to eat there again if this is the way in which customers are treated! Worst customer experience I...

Wow! So so pleased with this place. It seemed really lackluster - no decor on the walls, not the best waiting area (just a bunch of chairs lined up and then everyone else stands around in the doorway) and the space itself was tiny. However, we ended up being very pleasantly surprised. After writing our own name down on the wait list, we were seated relatively promptly (they recommended getting there before 7 on a Saturday, and it looks like they suggested that to everyone because a bunch of people had showed up at 6:30). Seats were somewhat uncomfortable and the entire place was pretty bright - almost giving it the feel of a casual fast dining place, not a sit down restaurant.

Ordering was done by marking rolls and pieces off on a piece of paper, and then appetizers were ordered to the waitress. We got 2 large bottles of saki (one at a time) for 3 of us, but we could have easily had one each.

For appetizers, we got edamame and tempura, which was a relatively large portion that came with 2 large shrimp and some large pieces of vegetables. Really good.

After, we got the crunchy shrimp roll, lobster roll (AMAZING), rainbow roll (huge), spicy tuna (great flavor and awesome presentation) and lastly the shrimp, scallop and crab roll.

Personally, I am not the biggest sushi lover and generally play it pretty safe, but I tried everything and loved it all. The fish was all so fresh and almost melted in your mouth and everything was large portions and presented beautifully. Will definitely be back next...
