Our family has been going to Dr. Chow for over 20 years now. She is awesome and very meticulous.
Lately her front of office staff has made us look for other doctors. Yes this office takes covid precautions very seriously. You have to call ahead and make appointment. We went today to pick up a pair of glasses and have the fit adjusted. We called ahead and set a time. We get there and call to let them know we're there. No one answers. Call again. No one answers. This has happened every time I've visited this office recently, despite the fact there are 3-4 people in the office. Eventually a person comes out dealing with another patient and only then do I get the glasses. They refuse to let us in to do a fitting. Don't set up a system then not use your own system. However, they didn't honor this agreement. When we asked them to exchange several unopened boxes for lenses that would match the new prescription (-4.25/-4.75), all the lenses we received in exchange were marked as -4.75. When I asked them to correct a mistake and give us half -4.25 and half -4.75 lenses, they refused. Because of this, we lost several hundred dollars as we had to throw these away and buy matching lenses from a...
Read moreDr. Chow and the office staff are professional, friendly, and attentive. There was an issue that involved a recent information system upgrade. If the provider unilaterally changes an appointment time, the provider should take every measure to ensure that the client agrees and is aware of the change. I received an incomplete (line dropped) phone call in which I didn't receive information about a time change. I did receive an email that asked for attendance confirmation, and I (incorrectly) assumed that the time had not changed. My mistake on the email, but in a busy world where attendance confirmations are standard procedures I expect more than standard procedures for a...
