TOTALLY CHAOTIC EXPERIENCE
I ordered through the app. When I arrived at the store, they told me they didn't have my order. They found my order after about 5 minutes. Then, they told me my two combo bowls order only had one item per bowl. I had to pull out my order confirmation email for them to copy over. Then I wasn't able to reimburse my coupon. I told them that that's what the instruction at the app said to do. I showed them the app where it says to "Redeem in store". The app doesn't give a chance to use a coupon before completing the purchase and yet the store said the coupon couldn't be used once the order is completed.
The person at the counter did offer me a cash reimbursement which I declined. I appreciated the gesture but I told her I'm mad at the system not working and not so interested in a few dollars. The point of ordering online is to minimize time spent in the store and to avoid touching cash during this pandemic. When my order was finally filled one of the items was incorrect and they gave me a separate container for the item I actually ordered. It took 25 minutes to go through this experience inside the store while it was raining outside.
I don't think I will...
Read moreI always come to Yoshinoya with my friends, and usually order online. I’m a huge anime and Japanese fanatic, and I’ve eaten Yoshinoya in Singapore and Japan.
I had to come in person, because I had no credit card on the app, as I’m mailing the new one.
The Asian Lady cashier was super rude in tone. I order beef Gyudon and she never put the extra effort, do you want veggies with that. I claimed a coupon to redeem over $2, and add egg roll and ginger. They forgot the ginger. And then I forgot the veggies were seperate. She then proceed to nag at me, “you don’t need to order water, water is free”. She does not have basic customer service tone. And she didn’t serve me the water. I totally get she was upset I did things a bit off, but she could of said it in a better way
I only like Yoshinoya here for their low cost bowl and that it’s a decent meal. Look up Japan and Singapore menu and Yoshinoya USA is treated as bottom of barrel between the other chains.
This won’t deter me completely here, as I eat here off and on here with friends, but definitely watch for customer service. Never I’ve seen such rudeness...
Read moreSo ummm...I just came back from Tokyo, Japan and went to this Yoshinoya in the Bay Area and it just does not compare to the one in Japan. I'm spoiled now. I was missing Japan and had to come here and try it. The food was average but decently priced for what you get in America. Got their combo XL and you get their beef and chicken combo with steamed veggies. The chicken was good but was not grilled or crispy(no skin) and just drenched with sauce. The beef was fattier or chewier. Steamed veggies was plenty. Also while supplies last, additional $3 added chicken nuggets which was the only thing I really liked.
A fast food chain as we got our food fast. Plenty of tables here and it was pretty full like their private parking lot for a Saturday lunch. This fast food restaurant has been here awhile and needs updating. I was full from what I chose but was just not satisfied. Good even though for what you get, don't get me wrong. This would not be my first choice for my beef bowl...
