First, I want to call out the Ika Karaage (fried squid). It was perfectly cooked with a light batter. The chunky pieces of squid had a great texture, and the accompanying sauce was a perfect complement. Definitely in the top 5 of the fried squids I have tried (4.5/5)
We ordered the Hataka Tonkotsu DX in one spicy (3.5/5) and one medium (3/5). The noodles were perfectly cooked, it had a nice bite to it, overall great texture. The broth was savory and not overwhelming.
The spicy broth was a lot better than the medium, even after I added extra spice to the medium bowl. I am assuming different amount of spicy oil used in the spicy version that made a slight difference. The bowl was not very spicy either, not just me, the table next to me also said the same thing. So go for the spicy, it had slightly more flavor profile to it.
I was a bit disappointed with the chashu pork slices, they were a bit too thin compared to other places. The flavor was decent, they were also a bit drier than what I've had elsewhere. The pork belly was similarly a little dry, but flavorful. I was very disappointed with the egg, it was just a soft boiled egg. I was expecting (Ajitsuke Tamago) which is the marinated soft boiled egg that typically comes with the ramen. Maybe it was the style of the ramen, and this one calls for a...
Read moreFood was great with a big portion, but our first waitress was rude. We got in the waitlist for a while and got the text, but when we got there she first asked us to get in the waitlist again, and after we confirmed we got the text, said there isn’t a table so either bar seat or wait. We didn’t want to wait again so my friend said bar seat is fine. As we were walking down, we saw a few tables emptying out, so I asked politely if we can switch to the table instead now that they are available (we assumed we’d get a table after waiting for the text to begin with). The waitress seemed offended and repeated several times that my friend said we’d take the bar seat. Eventually she agreed begrudgingly and asked us to wait back at the entrance again for the table to be cleaned.
The next waiter serving our table was very nice and friendly, but we saw another waiter totally spilling food all over the other table next to us, and heard plates splattered loudly in the kitchen.
As good as the food was, I don’t think I’ll be...

I love their appetizers (especially the Marufuku Bites) and they have a new drink special you gotta try. Frozen Ichigo comes in two ways - non-alcoholic with Calpico and alcoholic with nigori soju. It was a refreshing beverage and great palette cleanser.
