I recently visited the dermatologist for a mole and skin tag removal procedure, and while some aspects of the experience were positive, there were significant issues that left me dissatisfied.
From the moment I booked my appointment, the front desk staff demonstrated professionalism and efficiency, which initially gave me confidence in the clinic's services. The assistance provided throughout the process, as well as the doctor who performed the initial procedures, were also courteous and skilled, putting me at ease.
However, the experience took a turn for the worse towards the end of the appointment. After the doctor left the room to get some referral information, she never returned. As I was getting dressed and preparing to leave, I noticed bleeding from some spots where skin tags were removed, and some skin tags had been missed altogether.
When I brought this to the attention of the doctor's assistant, she assured me she would inform the doctor. Unfortunately, I overheard a conversation between the assistant and the doctor outside the consultation room. Shockingly, the doctor seemed unwilling to see me again and even instructed the assistant to handle the remaining procedures and "get me out of there."
This exchange left me feeling disappointed and disheartened. I couldn't help but feel rushed and disregarded, especially when contrasted with the attentive care and precision the assistant displayed during the latter part of the procedure. It was evident that the assistant took her job seriously and went the extra mile by carefully applying bandages to the areas where I was bleeding.
While I understand that medical professionals have busy schedules, such dismissive behavior towards a patient is unacceptable. Had the doctor been more open to rectifying the situation, my overall impression of the clinic might have been salvaged. Nevertheless, it's crucial for future patients that any negative feedback be conveyed with discretion and sensitivity, as overheard conversations can significantly impact one's perception of the clinic and the medical team.
In conclusion, based on my experience, I regretfully cannot recommend this dermatology clinic. The initial professionalism was overshadowed by the lack of follow-up and dismissive attitude towards a patient's concerns. As a result, I will not be returning to this clinic and will explore other options for my future dermatological needs.

Read moreI am editing and updating my review. YES dr Sears is amazing but sadly for us, she has retired. Several months back we had to go in just for a check up of a spot removal and we were seeing a different doctor, we waited 30 minutes and was called to the desk and was told our insurance didn’t cover our appointment. Come to find out they were filing on an old insurance policy from several years back. Their explanation was they had a new system and it would be a couple days for them to refile and we could either pay or reschedule. We left. Today we decided to go back in for our yearly check up and we had a 9:15 AM appointment. Everybody around us was being called back and yes, there are several doctors in the office, at 9:43 we finally checked to see if it was going to be much longer, and they had forgotten to check us in. Even though they took our new insurance cards They still forgot to say we were there in the system. At 9:48 AM we were called back up and told that he was running behind and we would be the next ones called back. We said no thank you and we left. We won’t be going back to Dallas Associated dermatology. Two bad experiences have marked them off our list. I cannot review Dr. Carr, he was going to be our new dermatologist and this is our second time trying to see him. Their office staff needs some serious work and a lot of retraining. They are kind and personable but very Inefficient.
Dr. Sears is amazing! Such a fabulous bedside manner and so thorough. The office staff is so friendly and kind. We go yearly for our check ups but we’ve also use the Mohs surgery center and that’s been a great experience too. I cannot recommend Dr....
Read moreGreat, spotless facility with conveniently adjacent covered parking garage, connected to office tower via a covered walkway. Good signage throughout. The offices of Dallas Associated Dermatologists were clean and organized, with plenty of seating, so as to be able to social distance.
Reception staff was polite and efficient, as was the staff during check out.
Examination rooms, again spotless and well lighted.
My only disappointments and the reason I did not give five stars were:
1 Appointment system seems to have a glitch in it as I kept receiving text messages confirming appointments that I did not have, with doctors I was not seeing. At one point I was in the system as having three separate appointments with three separate doctors, and none of the three doctors was the one I was supposed to be seeing. It took a while to sort it all out.
The doctor that I consulted with and who treated me was very pleasant and knowledgeable, but seemed to be in a bit of a rush to finish and get out) I have no way of knowing the reason behind this, it could be they were running behind and he had other patients waiting, etc.) but it made me feel a bit secondary).
The practice does not validate parking, so I needed to pay three dollars by the time I left the parking garage.
The overall experience was more pleasant, then not, and I will continue to use the practice and to see the doctor that I did, with confidence. If certain things come up down the road that would affect my opinion on that, I will update my review.
