I had never been to any theatre to see a play to be honest, and this was a great first experience! The Undermain Threatre is located in a really interesting (yet obvious, in retrospect) place, and the environment fits it well. The venue itself is pretty well designed around the building, and although the columns block a bit of the view, the characters more around enough and project well so it's not an issue at all. During the intermission, the outside area did get a bit crowded, but nothing bad, and certainly nothing like a bar/nightclub on a weekend night.
The play itself I actually really liked, as well as the interesting way it chose to touch on several issues we have now today. Maybe I'm reading too much into it.
