It's a Thursday on our vacation, and it's my husband's day to plan activities. He found this place online and it was so much fun! They even have their own parking lot! That's a big win in my books. Upon entering, we were greeted and checked in. We arrived right when they opened, so they were not busy at all - which is great for mini golf so as to not feel rushed on the holes. We had a kind hostess who showed us around and got us to our game. We purchased the 18-hole game, which allowed us to play both their Nite and Daze courses. Their Daze course is their original, a fun warm-up, but the Nite course was our favorite and much more fun and creative. Some holes on the Nite course we played again and again because it was so much fun and because we had no one behind us. Each hole had a drink and scorecard stand which was nice to use. I started the games with a strawberry margarita (not frozen) and I didn't really like it, and the bartender was kind enough to let me exchange it for a different drink. I really enjoyed their blueberry frozen vodka lemonade much better. I'd get it again! They have free water cups as well, which I appreciated. The Nite's 9th hole was the hardest, and we were never successful but had fun trying to make it into the cone skeeball style. Once finished, we turned in our clubs, and we played pickleball outside. The pickleball court is free to play if it's not already reserved, so we just temporarily traded one license for paddles and 5 balls, and we had a blast playing, probably for 40 minutes. They have large fans outdoors that I was able to turn on in addition to the wind blowing. We spent about 2 hours here and had a lot of fun. They have other outdoor games that we played to cool off before driving home. It still wasn't too busy when we left around 4pm. I would definitely come back...
Read moreI'm not sure where to start with this one. I was incredibly underwhelmed, to say the least. It really wasn't difficult, which is fine, but it felt lazy. It also felt very small. I understand its mini golf, but one part was literally just going around a corner. There was an attempt at making trick shots, which made things slightly interesting. I feel like there should be at least some sort of guard around the tee instead of a pad that couldn't hold the ball stationary. It would be nice to have more guards for an out of bounds as well, instead of just rolling into the next or previous area. Imagine that you asked your child to make a mini golf course and just gave them plywood, construction felt, playground rubber, and emergency blankets; thats about what my experience was. Did the first course fairly quickly and immediately left. $30 for two people for 1 course. I couldn't imagine paying double that for both courses. I would love for this place to be successful. The outdoor games look fun and could be a great place to hang out. It is just severely lacking in creativity and design, and overpriced for it being a mini...
Read moreI appreciate that this place was the first of it's kind in Dallas, kicking off the boozy mini golf trend. However, being the first doesn't always mean it's the best. Compared to it's new competition, such as the Putt Shack and the Puttery, this place feels distinctly lacking. The drinks were good, although weak. There were a few holes that stood out as quite fun, which made the rest sort of worth it. There wasn't much of a theme, and the course construction appeared cheap and more reminiscent of older mini golf courses just for kids, with things being made of foam, painted plywood, and traffic cones (also a random motorcycle?). Which would be more digestible if not for the rates they charge. The actual holes were also poorly made, with a few things falling apart, travel holes not lining up well, and many being silly easy while some are stupid hard. I wouldn't be surprised to go through and get nothing but 2s and 6s on a scorecard. All this being said, it wasn't a bad time, just overpriced. Visit while managing your expectations compared to similar...
