I’ve been going to Rose Couture on & off since I moved to Dallas a year ago. I normally get a gel manicure & pedicure, but last month I started to get Gel-x done. So I went back yesterday, 09/14/25, to do my nails & toes again. I walked in this time since I was short on time & needed my nails done asap.
I was greeted, signed in, & then waited. I sat down at the pedicure station & a one of the ladies came to start on my nails first. That was around 2:30pm. She was a little rough my nails & cuticles. She was rushing & you can tell because the work she did on my nails was horrible! She really cut deep & my thumb is still bleeding this morning & it continues to hurt. This causes infections. They don’t call them Chinese chop houses for no reason.
My feet got started about 3:15pm by David. I’m not sure what that man was doing on my feet, but you would think he was about to start foot surgery. He was filing too roughly on my toes & I told him THREE TIMES to stop being rough. He took almost an hour to do my toes because 20 minutes of that he wasn’t at my station, he was in the back. He did my toes the last time so I’m not sure why he was lazy this time. When I approached the receptionist (who was super sweet & helpful) & the assistant manager (the heavier set lady with the long blonde hair) about my concerns, the assistant manager minimized my feedback. Making it seem like I didn’t want to pay. Talking about we will discount the nails because we cut you, but not the toes. I said I didn’t ask for a discount to begin with, the receptionist offered that. I’m just giving feedback. I told her David was rushing & he was too rough. She stated he wasn’t doing any of that because she was watching him. Like girl no you weren’t & how you gone tell me about MY experience? He was on MY FEET! Before they discounted me for the nails, the manager tried to be funny & say, “I don’t see anything, I need my flashlight.” As if we weren’t in an already well lit area. Like girl don’t be petty & condescending!
I also don’t appreciate them speaking in their native language at times & then speaking lower to talk about the client. You don’t know who can understand what! Never stepping foot inside this or any Rose...
Read moreJust don't make them thick... As a man this is the first time I've even entertained the idea of a gel nail but figured I'd do something natural-ish looking. I was with one of my female friends and she was like my treat -- I explained to Jenny this is my first time, just don't make my nails thick. I don't know what I don't know so if the $90 gel service needs to be something else just let me know and I'll follow her lead. Again, please don't make them thick. We tried a couple of different natural colors but the only one I liked needed two coats but still just don't make them thick. I didn't realize I could only have the color I wanted, not the color and thickness desired... I figured having one of two I could live with… I had a great session with Jenny and loved the color but called back the next day because they were just too thick. I explained to Jenny was phenomenal but I just wanted to have them thinned out. The gentleman was super nice and said come back on Monday. When I went back the desk staff was super friendly but Jenny had an attitude. No conversation, no beverage offer… This time I showed her videos of what I wanted them to look like. In summary, she asked do you want me to take them off or do you want me to fix them? And she wasn't confirming. Soooo rude!! Now she starts explaining because I have flat nails that's why she has to make them thicker toward the cuticle of my nails. Where was all of this information the day before? Today she brings the same color around and at this point (to myself) I'm like I already told you I did not like the way one coat looked (you could see the brushstrokes) with this particular color so why would you bring the same color back again? I really wanted to stand my ground and be like NO, But when she was finished I just smiled and left. I'll just never go back again unless they make this right. PS: At station 10 the AC drips condensation all over you. (Note: if this review is still up it means they never followed up to see what they could do to make my experience...
Read moreI'm a basic beige and burgundy babe. So, I was desperately looking for a salon that offered trendy nail designs, hard/builder gel after having so much damage to my natural nails (mainly my own doing...DIY nails...).
I am very happy I booked at last minute (they do take walk-ins, but it seems they fill up fast so, scheduling might be the way to go).
The entire staff was extremely hospitable. They pay exceptional attention to detail. Elly (my nail artist) would consistently stay in-tune with my refreshment needs, checked on my comfort level, and made sure my purse and phone were safe and accessible WITHOUT HAVING TO ASK. She listened to what I wanted and helped fill in the parts I wasn't sure about. She didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all and I LOVE MY NAILS.
The front desk staff called me TWICE to confirm my appointment and to make sure I knew where to park and how to find their location.
The hostess was always walking around and REFILLING refreshments. I would look the other way for a second and find my cup filled again.
I also spoke with the manager, Tim, and it was obvious he takes very good care of his staff's happiness. He was seen moving around as an available resource and was astute in anticipating their needs. The staff also confirmed being happy to work there - Which all really trickles down and impacts the client's full experience! When I spoke with him, he immediately knew what I was getting done and who my nail artist was.
The decor is cute and very PINK, and FUN. You'll find lots of "zone out space" and upbeat music videos playing in the background. (You know... for that look and stare that happens when your artist is concentrating hard on your nails, that "don't move or you'll mess it up'" moment).
Anyway, too long of a post, but Rose Couture is very worth the money. To quote my picky and critical sisters "wooooow actual nail art," "so pretty," "it's cute and girly. Really good nail art," "I love it. I think it's one of your...
