The place is great, the options are very well plan and shceduled with precision... but they forgot are humans and work with humans in "entertainment business". We've plan the birthday party of my son a month ago. We hired 10 slots for the Aereial Challenge and 10 slots for the Aqua Challenge (500 USD) We fullfill all the requirements and off course were there as agreed... but the weather is not controlled and the guys (who seems to be nice students doing some comunity hours as far from being professionals) informed us very accurately we should wait for the release of the wetaher alarm or have a refund. Absolutey clear, but do you have 11 year old guys at a party alreday with the swimsuits and life jackets on? we decide to wait and see... but the limit were the "final" hour, as the park "closes" at 5:00 (What is not true, as there were a private party after). After 35 minutes waiting decided to take the refund and replan for other day (what means bring the group of 10 kids again in the future and its logisitics) but the alarm releases the park and they kids run to the water.. absolutely understandable, isn´t it? then at a turtle speed, the staff ast k the kids to come out the lake to make the "security brieffing".. (Why they didn´t do in the 35 minutes waiting?) Off course this cause a strong bad feeling on the kids and us...!!! Again, they jum to the water to enjoy at least 15 minutes of the hour we paid for!!! So... I came to the front desk and ask for a manager... a young kind take my request and I've beg for "only 15´ flexibility for the kids to enjoy a little". No, the aswer was first is not possible, as the park close. Later, if you stay longer than 5:00 you should pay a new complete hour for the 15 more monutes, but cannot stay one hour even if pay becase the park closes at 5:00..." but the privater party was arriving some people for preparing.. so there was not a closure of the park. Conclusion: They could make with 10 or 15´ an amazing great impact on the birthay party... but they choose not to. If you can go other place... please do so. They are ROBOTs, not people. They have not 10´ flexility for a 11 years kids party... Have good life, try to avoid lack of spirit people like TigerTail Recreational Center of Broward College! There are plenty of people trying to run aprivaty business for making your...
Read moreWe are visiting family in Fort Lauderdale. There were grandma and grandpa, mom and two kids ages 11 and 14. We came to Dania Beach to the aqua park for some fun. The people who work here were very pleasant and helpful.
The aqua park features several floating inflatables. All are tethered down so they donât flip. If you have ever seen the show âWipeoutâ it is a similar experience.
Cost was $20 pp for one hour. At first I thought this was not going to be enough time. I was wrong. Keep in mind I am a 40 something-year-old mom of two kids so I am not the most physically fit the world however even my 11 and 14-year-old were completely worn out after about 30 minutes on the aqua park. You have to use your arms and upper body strength to pull yourself up onto the inflatableâs. The lake is deep enough that you canât push up off the bottom. Everyone has to wear lifejackets so everyone is safe. I really like that one of the workers stayed with us the entire time and gave us a pro tips how to use the equipment.
There is a slide, a hamster wheel, a swing, trampolines and a special pillow that you can launch someone off of it. It was super fun to try out all the equipment but very physically demanding. (For us).
There were a few negatives that we experienced from participation that you should be aware of. Maybe this doesnât happen to everyone but my Daughters ears popped and were painful when she hit the water after being launched off of the air pillow. I think it had something to do with some pressure differential from impact or something. Those of you who are pilots are in the military will probably understand that better than us.
We had to go to the doctor have my daughters ears checked to make sure that she didnât have damaged ears. Luckily she was totally fine the next day. She also suffered from A few rug burn like abrasions from scraping her legs on the equipment.
We do not fault the company for any of these maladies
Grandma and grandpa were able to wait for us under the street at Pavilion while we swim and they took pictures.
Overall we had amazing time would highly recommend it to anyone as long as youâre...
Read moreThis rating is only for the aqua challenge, as it was the only thing we did that day. I was so excited when I saw this on channel 7 news. I told all my friends, and we were all surprised that we had never heard of this place before. Once we all got there I was no longer surprised. It is way smaller than they make it look like on photos. The price range showed $12-$20 for an hour. It was $20, which would have been well worth it had the pictures been true to size. We went early to make sure we weren't late, and they wouldn't let us even wade in the water to cool down till our session started(our group was all college swimmers and ocean rescue). I asked to use my own life jacket which I use regularly at the aquaplex for wakeboarding (which is a bit more dangerous than this floating bounce house) they said no, so I used their bulky and uncomfortable ones. Once we were finally on the aqua challenge, we climbed to the top of their dome, and were threatened by a lifeguard with a terrible attitude who said we had better not break any rules or they can kick us out. When I asked her what rules we had broken, she didn't have anything to say, because we hadn't broken any. She is mostly what ruined the experience for us, as it was hard to have fun after that pointless confrontation. The other three lifeguards were absolutely awesome. We just stayed as far away as we could from the one with the attitude problem, and the others were really good at making sure everyone was safe but still having fun. All that being said, I would 100% recommend this place for children. For adults itsi not quite as big or as exciting as it...
