I have always love the Pembroke Pines sirocco and when I heard this location was open I had to make a visit so I came with my girls for my birthday. One thing I think sirocco is great for is their beautiful ambience, warm hospitality and delicious Mediterranean cuisine. So I was excited to bring my friends to celebrate with me. I had a pretty large party so I know that can be hard to manage sometimes. But Everyone was excited.
That being said I was not super happy about the service. From the beginning I felt the server was nice but a bit passive aggressive and impatient with me as I was tending to the needs of my table I definitely felt some tension there which I don’t like to feel during service. I work in this industry and hospitality is my top priority when choosing a restaurant to go to. So when it’s negative it really turns me off. There was no additional connection point or attention to detail for my table from the server other than the basic refilling water and bringing the food out and it was very bare minimum. I would of been okay to just finish the night having a fun time with my friend and go home but then we were told to leave a personal review from our server over and over again it was excessive to the point where we were having complications with the check it took a very long time to come out. He made it seem like splitting our table check was such a terrible In convince. he was even telling us to make a review first before he can do that. What?! At that point I was starting to complain it was totally unnecessary.
I understand you guys are a new business and want great review to get out about you, but this is not the way to go about it. This was a huge interference to the experience I was expecting to get from a 2 hour dining at one of my favorite Mediterranean businesses.
Reviews should be shared authentically not hustled out of people and I didn’t appreciate it one bit. I won’t be sharing the servers name but I hope he can learn from this experience please. You guys have too great of a reputation to have to operate like this.
I will say the Pembroke Pines location has always been great and I never experience such a...
Read moreSirocco Mediterranean at Dania Pointe surprised me—in the best way.
I came in with average expectations, thinking it would be another polished-looking spot with okay food. I left actually impressed.
The service set the tone early. Greeted quickly, seated without delay, and our server knew the menu well. He gave real answers when we asked for recommendations. Not the usual “everything’s good.” We went with his suggestions: mixed grill platter, falafel, and the beef shawarma wrap.
The mixed grill was the standout. Chicken, lamb, and kafta all cooked right—not dry, not underdone. You could taste the seasoning without it overpowering the meat. The falafel was crunchy on the outside, moist inside, and not too greasy. The shawarma wrap came loaded but didn’t fall apart in your hands. Big plus.
Sides like rice and hummus weren’t just filler. The hummus was smooth and garlicky, and the rice was fluffy with just a hint of spice. Small things, but they added up.
Portions were enough to leave full, but not stuffed. You could tell they care about presentation too—plates came out looking clean and balanced.
The vibe works for both casual and semi-special. Indoor dining feels modern, but still relaxed. Outdoor seating is great when the weather cooperates.
Prices are high but this just because of the area. You’re paying for quality, not hype. No inflated “Mediterranean chic” markups here.
I’d go again. Whether you're local or visiting, this is one of the stronger options in Dania Pointe.
Tips:
Ask for the garlic sauce on the side
Good spot for groups—plenty of table space
Try their Hookah if you could and you won't regret it.
Free garage parking right around the corner
Solid experience, no gimmicks, just good food and service that...
Read more"Holiday Menu" FAIL. Buyer beware of deceptive pricing and business practices. Bait and Switch 100%. I really hate to give this review because I have been several times and always enjoyed myself, but my last experience on Mother's Day was a zero star experience. It was very busy so I understand the service issues but the "Holiday Menu" pricing was inexcusable. I went with a party of 10 and when we arrived we were "greeted" by a special Holiday Menu for Mother's day with increased prices. Not a small amount, my meal was $30 more, the average price was $10-$20 more. This put a negative cloud over our entire experience and ruined mother's day dinner. This price increase came with no extra food, or special menu options, not a rose or glass of champagne for mom, not a chocolate covered strawberry. Not even a happy mother's day greeting. I guess just the honor of eating at your restaurant on Mother's Day. We made reservations, no warning at all. Nothing on the website or Social Media. By the time our group of 10 sat down, we were locked in, no way to make reservations somewhere else for our large group. I had other issues, like poor service and small portion sizes (4 pieced of asparagus for $6 upcharge for sirocco grill for 4, I guess you get 1 piece per person for an extra $6). However, this hidden menu, this extra charge, in this economy, without warning or justification is inexcusable. I will never eat here again on principle alone, which is a shame because I have been many times including last year for father's day, which had no "Holiday Menu". My advice is buyer beware, you might get stuck with a bill paying $100 more than what is advertised on their website, like I did. Zero Stars for bad...
