This was actually the North Darthmouth Carnival sponsored by Fiesta Shows. It definitely had that “traveling carnival” vibe.
Since it was a surprise for my granddaughters birthday, I had hoped it would be a memorable day for her. If I knew what I know now, I wouldn’t have bothered!
**Please note: The website has changed certain information about this event since I went. The information provided is my experience when I went.
There were 2 types of “passes” offered online for the rides, the Wristband and the Megapass. Each offers a certain amount of time to ride the rides. I was completely shocked when I went online and saw that there was an “additional” charge for admission of 3.00 per person! The website now says it’s a 2.00 admission but no charge if purchased online!
When I ordered my tickets, there was absolutely no mention of this leading a person to think that the 40.00 “Megapass” price included admission. That was what I ordered, thinking it would be a better option.
The website also said that they had 15 attractions (but all 15 may not be available), which is understandable…. to a point.
Well, there were 12 attractions operating and there were 2 additional attractions that weren’t included in the Megapass price! These attractions (rides) were an additional 10.00 per person/per ride! There was absolutely no mention of this on the website.
The carnival games were 5.00 to play. Needless to say, I didn’t play them. Again, no mention of the price on the website at all.
The weather (out of their control) was bad enough, being cold and rainy, but the exorbitant prices (completely in their control) was just an insult!

Read moreDartmouth Mall is a solid spot for shopping, dining, and entertainment. It may not be the biggest mall around, but it packs a good variety of stores and experiences into its space. Whether you’re looking for fashion, food, or a fun night out, there’s something for everyone. The atmosphere is generally clean and welcoming, making for an enjoyable visit.
One of my go-to stops is Newbury Comics—it’s a treasure trove for music, collectibles, and quirky gifts. Right next door, Victoria’s Secret is well-stocked and neatly organized, making it easy to find what you’re looking for. And let’s not forget Panera Bread—perfect for a quick bite or a cozy spot to refuel with a soup-and-sandwich combo. The food is consistently fresh, and the service is usually friendly.
For those with a sweet tooth, Yummy Station is a must-visit. Whether it’s bubble tea or a tasty dessert, they always deliver something delicious. After a day of shopping and snacking, the Mac Movie Theater is the ideal way to wind down. The seats are comfy, the screens are great, and it’s a convenient place to catch the latest blockbuster without leaving the mall.
Overall, Dartmouth Mall isn’t the flashiest, but it’s reliable, easy to navigate, and has a nice mix of stores and entertainment. A little updating here and there wouldn’t hurt, but for a casual shopping trip or a fun night out, it’s a great...
Read moreGreat exercise and the stores are spread out in logical ways. It was easy to navigate and overall was an amicable place to shop, and I even got my haircut. All the retail therapy boxes are checked. The only real thing that was left to be desired was the food choice. The food court consisted of one pretty much nameless company, where the people that worked there seemed a little defeated. But the mozzarella sticks I bought seemed real classic and melted although the marinara was watery. Also if you're one of those wishing to visit, be warned that there are an abundance of children. And however youthful and wonderful that might make a place appear, they're just isn't much room for navigating with all your things towards the end of the day. The Five Below store was literally packed and it was so hard to turn corners and literally just gaze on shelves which were taking a minute or two but you could not do that without people having to sneak by you. But I guess those things can be bought online too right? The mall actually reminds me a lot of the late Swansea Mall minus the various fountains full of copper pennies. I would honestly say three and a half Stars. But rounded down to incorporate blood I literally shed for the haircut although he...
