Update… after costing them customers as i was walking out the store and letting customers know not to shop there that they are liers,
Update 1-09-23
Talked to the franchise person He informed me that lee is co owner of 3 stores in the area, davenport and moline not sure of the other one but said hes really familiar with andy and he’s visited the store 2 times allready this year,
I informed him that store altho not corporate owned is giving slumberland a massive bad rep.
So if your in the quad cities id highly recommend not shop at any of the slumberlands just saying
Within 5 mins of posting this review doug their delivery driver said they was on their way with the new furniture.
Ill state my honest opinion and its still not to shop here you dont lie to a customers face.
Their excuse was because we had animals that they couldnt swap it out!!!
They met their match with this customer as i knew legal laws!!
Bought $7,000 worth of furniture from them in September sofa and chaise lounge stopped working and sofa and chaise has a dead short in it, came in to their store after their store employee looked at it ect, agreed to have the furniture replaced by andy the salesman another saleman and also lee the manager, lee takes it upon his self after a legal and binding verbal agreement is made to cancel swaping it out, 2 days later and 1 hour before they was to deliver their...
Read moreI came in shopping for a recliner which they had a good selection of. I picked out a couple that I was interested in and asked the sales women about availability and explained that I would be having shoulder surgery in 2 weeks and would need it right away. She assured me that they have almost all the recliners in stock and ir would be no problem. I told her that i live an hour away and I would be back in a couple of days after i made a decision on which one i liked best with our truck to pick one up. When I came back 4 days later and told her which one I wanted she said that they did not have one in stock and that I would have to take the floor model or she could order one but couldn't guarantee it would be in in time. I told her I did not want a used floor model and i dont have time to order one, thats why I asked about availability. So I picked out a different recliner and then again they did not have that one in stock and I would have to take the floor model. I really didn't want a "used" recliner but needed one. I asked her what kind of discount if I bought the floor model and she said there was no way they could offer any kind of discount. Very disappointed and frustrated with our sale person Mariah. Why sould I have pay full asking price for a used model and for putting me in the position of not having either of the recliners I want when she assured me they would have...
Read moreBEWARE! Slumberland has a credibility problem. My salesman, Andy, was helpful and friendly. However, he made several promises that couldn't be fulfilled (NOT Andy's fault!) My order was placed 5/5 with a 3-4 week delivery time. I called on WEEK 6 for an update. I had to call HIM, not the other way around! Everything but the coffee table was there. Andy told me that my last item would be in that week, and we scheduled a July 5 delivery (today). The crew showed up WITH NO COFFEE TABLE!!! I called the store and got a sales associate, no manager onsite. He couldn't have cared less about my issue (actually chuckled at me on the phone when I told him to check Google reviews for tons of similar problems) and told me it would be A COUPLE MORE WEEKS!?!? Over double the lead time that was promised, and will be 2.5 times that IF the coffee table actually comes in. FIRST RULE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE: DON'T PROMISE WHAT YOU CAN'T DELIVER! SECOND RULE: COMMUNICATE IF THINGS CHANGE!!! I will NOT shop at a Slumberland ever again. The place is ran by inept chumps with no business sense or customer service skills! Edit 7/6: Andy called right away the next day, offered to give me a like-new display piece, and refunded a portion of my money for my trouble. I told Andy I'd buy from him again IF he ended up working at another business. Leave Slumberland Andy, they don't...
