Some of these reviews and ratings are ridiculous... in this internet age you can order parts and kits online. I used to order online but realized if I order a kit or part online and I have a problem who’s going to help me? when you need help upgrading, installing, diagnosing etc the small store like GH will be more than happy to help. Most stores today do not stock ten million kits bc at $200 - $1500 , they would have to raise prices to cover that cost since a lot might take a year to sell... Better to have them keep the cost low and just wait a couple days.. They DO have boats, crawlers, cars, helicopters etc. do they have EVERY kit? No, but they have every part I’ve needed / wanted and ordered me crawler tires in 4 days. Owner Leo is so helpful and honest , I didn’t know he was the owner until today! Just bought a Charisma Coyote for a song after upgrading my Vaterra K5 Blazer to the max with these guys! The one star review guys can order online and stay away, you just waste everyone’s time complaining but run to a B&M when something breaks 😒 Order your part online and when it doesn’t fit see how long it takes to send back and get a replacement.. LOVE Goat H...
Read moreWorst experience ever. This is why its so hard to support local brick and mortar Hobby stores. Wanted the Arma Gorgon Ready to Assemble Kit. I noticed prices on Arma website went up to $209.00 due to new tariffs. Still on Arma Amazon store page for $169.99 due to old stock that did not get tariffed. Delivery tomorrow by 10pm. Naahhhhh I want to support my LHS. I google Goat Hobbies Davie and they have it in stock for $169 PERFECT! I hop in the car with my daughter and head to Goat Hobbies. I find the ready to assemble Gorgon on the wall and I grab it. Before I get to the counter I get intercepted by the owner, who proceeds to tell me the price just changed, and its no longer $169, and he has to look up the price before telling me what it will cost.
I could have argued that this is old stock and its not even charged at the new price, and that the tariffs hadnt affected this sale. I could have pulled up the Arma Amazon store page and showed their old stock still at $169 with free delivery. But I saved myself the hassle. I went in the car ordered on amazon for $169 overnight delivery and purchased addtiional batteries. I wont be shopping here for parts or...
Read moreI've been in the hobby for almost two decades and have seen many stores open and close in the area. When I was a kid it was warricks that then became maniacs, and others like ct motorsports have come and gone. For a while it felt like there weren't any decent hobby shops in the area. Then I discovered GOAT about 2.5 years ago and have been a regular customer ever since. For those of you that are new to the hobby the amount of information you may get here may easily overwhelm you, but if you ask for anything to be broken down in a more beginner level way the staff will and can gladly do it. They have a decent selection of popular rc models, stock and aftermarket upgrades, wheels, tires, lexan bodies, paints, and sometimes a variety of aircraft as well. I personally utilize the crawler parts and kit vehicles mostly, but in the past I have gotten on road stuff in rtr form and even have made exchanges on stuff that was broken, damaged, or an improper fit and I was never given a hard time about those exchanges. Great place Leo is super knowledgeable and I rarely ever leave without the part I came for....
