AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. The service is as bad as it can get. It’s supposed to be a place to grab a quick sub but the older gentleman serving dropped the ball. Everyone was complaining at the service. After 30 min he had forgotten to put our order in. 5 parties that came after us had left and we still hadn’t received our order. Then the server gave us a discount shown in the receipt due to the bad service. When I went to pay the old man at the register Osvaldo with the gray hair and glasses might be from Chile or Uruguay due to the accent it got even worse. He started to make excuses on the bad service and took off the discount from the receipt out of spite because he was upset that I was upset. He said maybe we should’ve ordered at the counter to avoid the bad service. When I asked for the owners contact he said “it does not matter if you don’t want to come here again someone else will”. Which I never said because the food is good. He avoided giving me the owners number. One gentleman named Roberto that seemed to be a cook was the most respectful saying “im sorry we’ve messed up”. That’s how you show customer service not making excuses and treating the customer bad. I am so upset and request to speak to the owner. He did not want to provide his info. That says a lot about this guy and the place. I have proof of all this I am not making it up. The image I posted is the receipt where the discount was given and I have the card statements where he charged me without the 10% discount initially for bad service. Avoid the terrible service and if still considering coming by get it to go. This is also not my first time here I’ve been coming here for 10 years. Service declined like doge coin. I’m the picture I posted you see the receipt with bad service discount of 10% I can show the owner Osvaldo took it out, out of spite in my statements. AVOID the bad service if you want to...
Read moreHusband is from this area, and I like to try places we don't have back home when traveling. We enter and are told to seat ourselves. Cool. We wait around 10 minutes to order. We order a smoothie, a hot chocolate, philly cheesesteak, cheeseburger, and fries. Amounts to about $42. Did not tip due to the following: Neither server was wearing gloves and kept switching between which table they were taking care of. They kept bringing the wrong food to each table. Our original waiter stopped by once to ask how everything was and if we wanted our check and i told her we dont know as we havent gotten our food yet. I should have just paid for our drinks and left but I'm pregnant and hungry. Her response was "oh true" then she just.... walked away. Waited about 30 more minutes for food and still didn't get my fries or fountain drink. 10 minutes later, my fries come out and I had to ask again for my drink. Fountain drink had several pieces of black debris floating in it and is being held by the rim of the oddly small glass. Had to wait another 10 minutes to get anyone's attention to notify them of such and I asked for an alternate sealed drink (can/bottle). By this time I'm beyond irritated. People that came in after us that ordered platters got their food and drinks before us, paid and left before we even got our food. Seemingly, no one pays much attention to their tables or their orders. Will...
Read moreThis place is a must-visit — a true Davie staple. Themed like an old-school diner, it’s the kind of breakfast spot you bring the whole family to, not just for the amazing food and friendly service, but for the vibe. The signature Cadillac booth alone is worth the trip (and a picture 📸), but trust me, you’ll want to stay for the food.
Gladys, the owner, and Ernesto, the manager, are almost always there. They know their regulars by name and make you feel like family. It’s got that classic mom-and-pop feel where, even though you went out for breakfast, it feels like home.
The food? Packed with flavor and clearly made with love. I always order the Sub Café Breakfast (and never switch it up because I don’t want to miss out, lol). It comes loaded: two croquetas (not frozen — big deal if you know croquetas), sausage (I swap mine for extra bacon), bacon, eggs, toast, and the crown jewel — the home fries. Those home fries are next-level, tangy with just the right hit of onion, and I swear they have to be a family recipe.
I’m grateful this gem is just 5 minutes from my house. On weekends, it’s our go-to breakfast spot with the family — good food, good...
