I went shopping today in Davis Goodwill,Sun. 12:30. I made my purchase and went to the left side register where there was a long line;I then went to the right side of the counter where there was a man working the register who was checking a person's purchase and ringing the woman up. The man then told me "this side isn't open:you need to stand in that line over there on the left side" I then watched the man continue to ring-up other people on that right side ! I finally got up to the register on the busy left side and the salesgirl spoke to me in a rude tone of voice, like they just couldn't wait to get done with me. I would have left the store at that point but really wanted my purchase. I certainly didn't appreciate how they treated me and I think a manager should check this behavior.I've been in this store a handful of times in about 3 years and certain employees were abrupt and less than helpful toward me.
Unfortunately,I've been to other places of business in the past where management doesn't seem to care about the way employees treat customers, for whatever reason. There are plenty of other places of business to support that are nice and welcome customers to return. I can't imagine why I would want to return to this store.
I also notice the donations which are given to this store here in Davis seem to be only what the management approves to stay here:the 'good stuff' is transferred to other Goodwill stores by truck to other areas rather than stay here for local customers to purchase. I've asked about this a number of times and the standard answer which is given to me is: "Our store is too small and we have to send it to the other stores". Where's any of the 'high end' donations which are given by local residents of Davis to be sold to other Davis residents? and how about some more Men's clothing ??
I recommend that customers going to this store who have been treated poorly leave an honest review along with taking a video of rude staff attitudes toward them and upload it here. How else will anyone see just what the problem is so the management can be convinced to take...
Read moreClothing selection is awful. Forever 21 and other low quality brands go for $6 plus. USED items with stains & lose threads. Literally can't find anything cute on the racks likely because employees keep it in the back for themselves , or the management ships items off to sell online. Furthermore, WHO IS PRICING ITEMS?! Is their a store manager responsible for what gets priced what? Because the prices are out of control. $20 for a set 4 of used plates? $6 for a coffee mug from target? Are you actually helping low income and eco conscious community members? Someone needs to intervene! Shady corporation. Stop calling yourself a thift store when you are pricing items at...
