Pizza Guys — Restaurant in Davis

I would have left '0 stars' if I could have. I live right across street from the Davis Pizza Guys restaurant;it's been a few months since I went in. I walked across the street and went in tonight to order a 'one topping special large' pizza. I spoke with a girl behind the counter who spoke in a 'small voice' and I asked her to please speak a little louder;for the record,I do have good hearing. I asked her to make sure to put enough of the topping on my pizza because last time I ordered from them,the topping was Very sparse. A woman working there named Catherine interjected in a Very Loud voice at me and yelled-out at me "what's the name on the order" !! ;I had already given my name to the other 'small voice' woman,who just stood there smiling while her and all her other co-workers kept staring at me while Catherine yelled the same question at me a few times.I was shocked & very insulted by Catherine's yelling and didn't answer right away.. A Very stressful experience which I will not repeat again.

I came back in a half hour later to pick-up the 'pizza' which I ordered and asked them to open the box for me to inspect it. The thing I saw in the box didn't even look like a pizza;not at all round;it was in some strange shape with very little topping on it.I missed taking a picture of it,but not sure it would load on this review screen. I mentioned this problem to the male employee who had opened and was holding the box open and he said "oh,we'll put a few more pieces on it and throw it back in the oven for you" !! I'm thinking 'Whatt?? !!' !

I miss when Robert was the manager there;this new crew of employees have strange attitudes.. I hope they get the show "Undercover Bosses" to do a special on this Davis,CA. store;whether he cares or not is doubtful. I'll never go in...

Message to the owner- I'm looking forward to trying all your pizzas!! I am a first time customer who recently moved from San Diego. I ordered 2 pizzas online, the Combo and a Hawaiian for pick up during lunchtime on Tuesday. My order was completed earlier than expected which was a nice surprise. When I arrived the pizzas were ready and hot. I was served by two employees who were very friendly.

The pizzas at first glance- crust looked nicely browned. Toppings were well dispersed very fresh. Not too much or too few of any ingredient, as an executive chef, this makes me quite happy!! Tasted even better than it looked. Good job, Pizza...

We ordered a pizza on the phone at 6:20 pm. The person on the phone told us to come and pick it up in 20 mins. We arrived and asked for our pizza. They told us to give them a couple more minutes. We waited there until 7:20 pm. They finally gave us our pizza. I was really hot when I realized they hadn't put in our pizza in the oven until 7 pm. Got the pizza at 7:15 pm.
