Well since I am a member of the American council for the blind I know they've been trying to get a braille signs on on the on the you know on the Amtrak's and stuff like that but I do know that they are I don't think they're wheelchair accessible if not I'm sure if not they would make accommodations for wheelchair accessibility you would have to call them to make arrangements when I went cuz this was a long time ago you had to if if someone took you up to the train they assumed that they were going with you but when you were going by yourself they will they were fine to they will find to help you but but if you are but if someone was taking you up to the train then but if you were but if someone took you up to the train station if you took someone took you up to the train then then they wouldn't help you which I think is totally wrong I mean that that policy needs to change and not only mom was upset but a few other people of mine they were upset too because what would you because what if what if someone was blind they wanted to go on a train and and what were they supposed to doI mean what were they supposed to do just just have the other person just leave them there I mean that's kind of that's kind of not cool I mean anything could happen to him yes there is food options there is a ticket counter yes you do have to make reservations for obviously for a ticket let me see no it is not wheelchair accessible although it should be because wheelchair people they do travel to and there is plenty of parking and and they have and yes it is very clear all I know the people are very friendly unfortunately I do wish that they would change their attitudes when it comes to when it comes to you know like if they if a person needs helps you to train whether they're blind or whatever that doesn't mean that the other person is riding with them they're just getting assistance on the train but the but the people they just like assume and and say oh well we don't have to help them on or off the train we'll just leave them there until someone comes and gets them well that's very dangerous and as far as in as far as parking your car there for a couple and as far as parking your car there a couple nights I don't think you'll get a fee but I would...
Read moreHorrible travel experience from Dearborn to Chicago. First your onboard staff is rude. Purchased business class for wife and I. We board and sit a table with 3 seats. There is a sign that says for 2 or 3 people. Worker comes around and tells us to move (there is like 10 people on the train in business at this point). I ask why. He grabs a sign across the isle and says this table is 3 only. I show him the sign on the table that says it’s for 2 or 3 people. He says I don’t care what that says, get up! I question him on why this sign is on the table stating it’s for 2 or 3 people. His response was to get loud and tell me I either get up or I’m not going to allow you to ride with us and will escort you off. You’re going to escort me off because I’m sitting in a seat that I paid extra for that’s says my wife and I can sit here!
The funny part is there was a group of 2 who were sitting at one of these tables. Wonder what the difference was?
Then they delay us for 2 hours. Then go up to the food cart and they are sold out of almost everything!!! This total train is at maybe 40% capacity so there’s hardly anyone and your sold out! I’d rather take a horse and buggy than this sad excuse of a...
