L.A. Bistro — Restaurant in Dearborn

Eat at L.A. Bistro if you want to be exposed to ageism and want to be told that you're not spending enough money. We reserved a table for 15-20 people, we got there, originally ordered pizza and salad for everyone, the total was just under $200. We were told by the manager that we weren't spending enough and had to order more food because we weren't spending enough. And continuously kept saying he couldn't have a table of teenagers in the restaurant unless we spent more money. Numerous times said that he couldn't have a table of teenagers, not sure why but the ageism is real here. They were not being loud, they were not being belligerent, they just wanted to charge us more. They said when there's a large group it's automatically $20 a person and served family style, but none of this was mentioned until AFTER we ordered, when I asked why I wasn't told that when I reserved the table, he told me to not tell him how to run his restaurant. He also said that his friends called him complaining that there was a table of teenagers so they couldn't sit down. Worst service and the food isn't even that good. Don't waste your money. And make sure you tip your server extra because the owner takes 5% of all of their tips at the end...

*Delicious Alert My coworker recommended this place. First time ordering from here and because I’m the picky one they had me call lol. The guy could of had a little more patience since I was ordering for myself (picky) a vegan who is also (picky) who never ate here before and was asking questions, I’ll admit it was lunch time and I’m sure it was busy. However we when the coworker that recommended the place picked up the order the guy was really apologetic and called to make sure that us first time picky eaters were satisfied. As I work in a somewhat busy office I was unable to return his call. Long story short the food was amazing I got the New Chicken that had salad on the plate with the hot food which I thought was weird but it works (I ate the leftovers the next day and it was still good even the salad, which shows they use fresh ingredients) and it was delicious I tried some of the Almond Chicken that was even better! To complete my review it was good food and I will eat here again and thank you to the guy that went above and beyond to...

I just tried to get a reservation for 8 in a private room. On their website they say private event reservations for 8 an up. When i called the "Owner" answered the phone. I asked if they had a private room for reservation and he ignored my question 6 times and just kept repeating.(maybe they dont have rooms, I dont know. But he could have said that) How many? what time? Trying to book us. I could tell he could here me because he kept blowing me off with what i was saying. Just repeat ah yes ah yes. How many? But was really just ignoring me. I'm sure hes busy and has a lot going on in the restaurant but if you cant even listen to your customer how are you suppose to provide a good experience. This is for business and i would hate for him to treat a client the way he treated me. I then said excuse me are you even listening to what i am saying. To which he replied "I'm the owner don't speak to me this way." Very unprofessional. I will not be booking a reservation here...
