Just moved in the area and came to get my nails and toes done for my birthday, initially everyone was nice. I called in to ask if they do soak offs and if they have duck nail tips and they assured me they did both. I asked to not get my nails and toes done at the same time because I wanted to enjoy my pedicure. Instead of the soak off I was charged for them to rip the acrylic of my nails with a fake nail tip which was excruciating pain. While they were ripping off the rest of my previous set the lady doing my nails shaped my toe nails and cut them extremely short. Once she finished my toes i immediately wanted to cry, my toenails were butchered and I hated them and voiced my concerns but they were ignored. They also lied about having duck nail tips she used regular nail tips and packed on acrylic powder over and over until it created a duck nail shape. She was struggling to file so the male who answers the phone took one hand and started to file and shape my nails while the nail lady packed acrylic on the other hand. The male also shaped my other hand because the lady doing my nails could not. At this point I was the last person in the shop and they started to rush my service because they were closing at 8pm. The male did the diamonds on my nails as well and they didn’t even let the light go off to let my nails dry before putting on another coat. I paid $195 keep in mind my toes were awful, I was there for nearly 4 hours and left close to 8:40. My diamonds came off the next day and I called and asked them to fix it and my toes. After work I came to the shop And was not greeted. The workers stared me down and made me feel uncomfortable as I waited 40 minutes for the nail lady to start on me. She did redo the polish on my toes which I am appreciative of and replaced the missing diamonds and she assured me they wouldn’t come off again but they did the next day. I called them again and the male was nasty on the phone and said it was unfortunate they came off but they couldn’t redo and that I would have to pay extra for a different design. I am so disappointed, my birthday is tomorrow and my nails are awful missing diamonds and i don’t feel like I should pay anything. They already got nearly $200 from me. I was treated poorly and unfair, I am not even sure if these are licensed nail technicians. All I wanted was beautiful nails and toes for my birthday and they know it’s my birthday and that I’m going out of town. To pay $195 for this is robbery. I’m to embarrassed to show what my toes looked like.

**Update** Don’t believe the fake apology response they posted. My hands were severely damaged and it took months for them to heal. The staff was rude on the phone and in person, they never addressed the issue or took accountability. Thankfully, I had no infection. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY COMING HERE! It seems like they treat you bad when you’re a Black woman and that’s strange behavior since we’re both minorities. **update** I called the store and the woman I spoke with continuously blamed me for my experience and says to ask her other customers about their experience, then hung up on me. I politely explained to her that I get gel polish regularly at Buckhead Nail and Never had issues with all of my nails breaking and bleeding at the nail bed. She told me I hit my hands on something that’s why they broke. I added pictures of my nails after they healed from bleeding. Thank goodness I didn’t get an infection. I am never EVER coming to this nail shop. Come here at your own expense. I read similar reviews and decided to give them a try anyway. That was a big mistake. I hope others have a much better experience than I did. I decided to try a new place. My natural nails are healthy and long. I only get gel polish. The tech made at the polish very lumpy and my nails were shaped awful. I asked her to redo them and she said it was my own nails that were shaped like that. I returned the next day because my nails started breaking in the middle. First, my index finger. They fixed it with SNS powder. Over the next few days, my other nails started breaking in the middle. One by one. I kept having to go back and get the nails fixed. They used gel polish when I went back, but other nails started breaking. The pictures below are where they are now. When I returned the first time, I asked them to just take off the polish and I’ll go to my regular salon, but they offered to fix it at no charge. Now, my nails are in pain from breaking across the nail bed and I’m furious that this is happening to my beautiful natural nails! šŸ˜«šŸ˜”šŸ¤¦šŸ¾ā€ā™€ļøTheir base coat for gel polish must be old, or they’re using something else because the sides of my nails have very hard pieces, almost like it’s acrylic. Something must be unsanitary. I’m never coming back here again. I want this stuff off of my nails NOW!

yeah so… I don’t normally write reviews and I feel bad for leaving one star. What happened is I don’t get my nails done frequently so I have nice healthy nails and skin. I asked for gel nails and the tech ā€œpreppedā€ my nail beds and cuticles. Three of my cuticles started visibly bleeding and it hurt SO BAD. When the tech saw the blood she gasped and wiped it away with her fingers. She then went on putting all the gels and coats into the open wound, it burned like hel*!!! There was also blood streaks IN the paint. After this entire process, she decided to put some alcohol on it. I was genuinely concerned I would get blood poisoning from all the salon chemicals in my open wound. The gel nail job was also extremely thick, like she must have put four or five coats on., making my nails look kinda tubby. It was my birthday and this was my treat to myself so I was trying to look and the bright side and didn’t raise hell with the employee (also i’m shy). But that manicure should had been free! So the following days my cuticles swelled up and it was pain like I have not experienced before. I think part of the pain was that she had put all the gels and chemicals in the wound so it wasn’t healing properly. I was doing warm washes and applying ointment three times a day. I took breaks during work to soak my burning hands in hot water. Luckily things started to heal around day four. I hope nobody else experiences this.
