This company will tell you as little as possible, making the customer jump through all sorts of hoops to get the help theyâre looking for. First off, their return policy is only 15 days. Was never made aware of that upon purchase and I didnât ask because typically you get 30+ days literally anywhere else you shop. So if you buy an âopen boxâ electronic as a gift, make sure you open it immediately and check the contents and the functionality of the product immediately. An iPad that was bought for kids a couple weeks before Easter is already having issues, hardly 2 weeks after they opened it. The iPad didnât even come with the correct charger, it was an old iPhone charger and the iPad required the type c charger. The device became really spotty with charging out of nowhere. The device has not been put in any sort of position to be damaged and its hardly been used. Then, I call to see if thereâs any way theyâll help me. On the phone they said they would check to see if I had a warranty, then recommended I pay an extra $70 for apple care and never really confirmed if I have a warranty already. So Iâm already out $350, and now Iâm being suggested to spend another $70? So I tell them Iâm going to go into the store to get further clarification. Upon arrival, they tell me I need an appointment with geek squad at that time because there were already several appointments for today and the next available one was 4 hours from then. This wouldâve been extremely valuable information to know when I was speaking on the phone with an employee. Extremely disappointed and I would recommend my friends to shop elsewhere, but I donât know anyone who actually shops at Best Buy anymore. Definitely my last purchase from this...
Read moreMy experience was horrible. I came to the store because I had an interest in buying a smartwatch. As the sliding door open I was immediately intercepted by loss prevention I would assume asking me by business for coming in. I stated I was coming to see about purchasing a device. I proceeded to the cell phone area to wait for further assistance. While waiting for any assistance 2 of the 4 individuals at the entrance came over. One walked behind the desk as I stood in front and the other on the side with arms fold watching me like there was some sort of an issue guarding. Immediately I spoke up because this behavior caught me off guard. On this day this bestbuy store loss out on 649.99$ plus tax. Honestly I doubt i ever shop at this location in the future. My ethnicity should not dictate how I am approached when trying to make a purchase. As a grown adult I do not need to be babysat. I've worked over 10 years in security and must say that this location needs diversity training. I'm curious to know how much money has walked out the door for these practices. To top it off the Caucasian males who first came then left and I was help by and African American male whom proceeded to help. Then the the one guarding the end off the counter stood in the aisle behind the desk observing while I was trying to conduct my business. Never in all my 40 years have I had to endure these practices. Gladly took my business across the street to AT&T and made my purchase. Took me two days, but never felt better with spending $701.99. If I was a secret shopper hands down they would have failed. Treat every customer with dignity...
Read moreI ordered kitchen appliances in early August. The installers came as scheduled. They opened my cabinets and told me I needed to pay gen $94 cash or check to change the valve for my dishwasher. He removed my dishwasher and said he could not install the one I chose because there are two pipes that would not allow him to install it. He said another model by the same company would fit. I went to the store and ordered the one he said would work. Another delivery was set up. The guy brought the new model in and said he could not install it because it would not fit. I contacted the manufacturer of the old one and declscribed the situation and they gave me a model that should work. I went to the store to order the third one. The store could not because the last return was "in transit" even though it was three days after I had to refuse the delivery. I called their customer service and it took them a week to get it out of transit and give me a new delivery date. The third delivery date arrived. The guy came in with the wrong dishwasher. I called customer service again. They finally got it straightened out and they told me I owed them $10 for the difference. They scheduled my new delivery two weeks later because the item was not ready for delivery. I get a call the day before the fourth delivery saying that it was not going be delivered because it is not available. So I am now six weeks out from my original order without a dishwasher and their customer care has done nothing to attempt to make the...
