It's been at least 10 years since I've been back to this location...and both times impressed with the quality of food. Before the interior addition of the atmospheric decorations and the remodel, I enjoyed the experience. Now, the menu, quality and prices have risen but with good reason. You definitely get what you pay for. I ordered the Los Racheros Fajitas ($20) and the abundance of meat, portions, and the sides were huge! The server from the kitchen also made sure we knew the plates were HOT so as not to burn ourselves. It's also was very nice being able to see LIVE PPV UFC fight night going on on the big LED Smart TV's above facing towards the tables. Although, our waitress was very attentive to our table I knew her goal was to get me to keep drinking lol I had kicked off the meal by ordering a Corona beer ($6 each). Although double the normal price of this good beer.... its a good choice in pricing and serves as a medium between reckless excessive drinking vs. complimenting your meal with a good refreshing taste for any plate you may order. You gotta ask yourself...." Are you here to enjoy a meal? or drink like a reckless drunk?" Lol She was very kind and continued to ask our table if we needed refills or anything else to compliment our meal while we were exchanging laughs and stories from our recent softball tournament. I would definitely come back to this restaurant. A couple of us ended our meal with some dessert....myself, with a nice serving of delicious flan. ($6) Keep in mind, this location is more on the pricey side, and your bill can rack up quick depending on what you order before sales tax! However, the experience itself, especially if you go on a Saturday night, is worth it if you stay for a good amount of time relaxing and unwinding with your friends or family. Also, the bathrooms were simple design but very attractive in the design. The sinks in the men's room looked like they were made of rustic and great quality copper and were very clean! Love the aesthetic! Overall, the environment of this restaurant is very pleasing to the eyes and less pleasing to your wallet. So long as you budget for yourself, plan ahead so that you aren't shocked by the time you get your bill but be ready to indulge in some of Los Rancheros delicious entrées!...
Read moreI’m very upset with my experience here. The staff was very patient, understanding, accommodating, and friendly. However, I had to drive back there twice to get my order corrected at 9:45pm when I first ordered at 8:30 and have work to get to at 7am because the stuff they offer on their menu is not something you’d find at your usual Mexican joint. This place is boujee and for the gringos! Their burritos are basically enchiladas. They served me a burrito that was as long as my forearm covered in cheese for $18. That’s an enchilada. I asked for a large burrito dinner. But anyways, I went back and got my order remade at their reluctance and when I got home I was so pissed by what I saw that I’m not even hungry anymore. I wanted a regular burrito that you can eat with your hands something that’s decently big with rice and beans on the side. I got myself a dilapidated poorly put together “burrito” more like a soft taco. And enough rice and beans for two people. I’m appreciative of the fact that they attempted to remake my food for me, but at this point all I want is a refund which is what I asked for to begin with. In this economy damn near $20 is everything. I don’t have a pot to piss in to be wasting $20 on something I didn’t order. I could’ve made this at home at this rate! So I’m really hoping when I give them this food back tomorrow I can get a refund. I will say though, their chicken meat is the best I’ve tried out of three places so far so that’s a plus. The rice was to be expected. The beans were interesting. Slightly burnt but still edible and kinda spicy, not your typical Mexican refried beans. Like I said, this place is for the gringos. The ones who enjoy tex mex and old El Paso tacos with ground beef but nothing authentic. They over doing their burritos and meals in general. It’s not that serious give me a plain tortilla I can wrap my hands around and call it a day. Idk what this fajita/taco is but it’s really ruined my night. And the “burrito” is also soggy from all the juices in the meat so that’s extra nasty a soggy tortilla. Not worth no...
Read moreI was excited to go here, but was fairly disappointed. Their queso isn't what I was looking for, less dip, more sauce, which I won't fault them for since every place makes it different, and I was looking for a different type. I was a little stunned at the prices, that was only very mildly assuaded by the size and presentation of the burrito. It was big. and pretty, but not $17 big and pretty. and it was tasty, but again, not $17 tasty. My little brother and I both got one and while we enjoyed them, they just weren't the level I was expecting from a $17 burrito. We got jarritos too, gooooood lord, $4.75 is BONKERS. I go to other mexican places pretty often, and while they're usually less formal than this type of restaurant, the jarritos are like. $2.50 MAX. I'm willing to pay $3.50 for a fancy place but almost $5.00 for a glass bottle of soda you can get in most supermarkets? But maybe that's just cause I'm broke and this went over the last of my disposable income I was expecting to use today. The service was great, our waitress was very friendly and patient with my little brother's pickiness, and was very prompt. The hostess seemed stressed and I felt bad for her, she seemed to always have to rush around, which wasn't her fault, obviously. So ya know, disappointing. I got good food that I'll finish for dinner, happily, and I'll just try not to think about the $60 I just spent on queso, two burritos and 3 bottles of jarritos.
Also I left a very bad tip and I feel really really bad about it, I'm used to buying $20 total for burrito meals for me and my brother so it's a 25% tip usually but for this it was an 8% when calculated with this total and I didn't think it through. So I'm really sorry, that was super rude of me, we were just in a hurry and I didn't think about the percentage.
(its nobody's fault that I'm so broke that this offended me, I understand that they are a more classy business than...
