Reminded once again why we usually order from the Sycamore location despite this location often being more convenient.
Why have a Pizza Portal if you're not going to use it? Front end person wasn't even in the store when I arrived and the poor person in back was washing dishes and just looked like they were ready to go home. "Crazy" bread with an emphasis on the crazy, half the pieces were just large dough nuggets and the rest were strips of flatbread with barely any butter/parm topping. Some one needs to QC the dough because nothing was consistent across our pizzas, they looked under proofed but also old. Topping placement was all over the board. A good third of one pizza had no cheese, and the slices ranged from 2 to 6 inches across the top (miscut). The second pizza was under sauced with a 3 inch crust line on one side and the dough itself looked like only one side proofed at all. However, even for the so called "hot and ready" items, you can expect to wait 10-20 minutes when you place your order in store unless you're willing to settle for whatever they actually have ready instead of what you wanted. This can be a real downer when you're hoping for just a quick fix. Ordering ahead could be a possible solution but that really negates the whole point of "hot and ready." It's definitely cheaper,though, and the wait time is less than delivery, albeit less comfortable. Whether the tradeoff of waiting in store for a bit instead of in the comfort of your home to save 50% off a typical delivery joint's price is up to you.
