Denton has many surprises, and Fred Park Moore was one for me due to a BBQ and music invite. The music pavilion has great seating, there is a BBQ/Smoker and picnic area with tables and benches, a wonderful Play Ground area with a wide variety of activities for all ages. The only issue is the problem of burrs on the grassy areas, making the grass uncomfortable for dogs and...

Historically ethnic park, adjacent to the historic East Side cemetery. Very nice, clean and suitable for picnics or play. On occasion people tend to play their car stereos very loudly, sometimes playing songs that are not family oriented. Watch your children, as this park is large enough to get lost in. What a surprise to find such a nice park, due to a BBQ and music invite! Plenty of seating for the entertainment Pavilion, and a very nice Smoker/BBQ area, also with seating.

The Playground area is wonderful. Very well thought out and extremely hardy! I have only docked one star due to the nasty burrs on the grass, unpleasant for people...
