PHOTOS TAKEN 2 WEEKS++AFTER MY MANICURE - still looks great!! My usual tech was out so Judy helped me and suggested I try her builder gel manicure for a very natural look. It goes on differently- takes a skilled tech to apply, and cures with a light like dip/gel. I am so pleased with the results. Nails look great almost 3 weeks after application! Outgrowth is almost unnoticeable because slight pink tint of base matches my nail bed. Zero chipping or pulling up at cuticle line. Product is thinner feeling than dipping powder. Adheres well to my nailbed. Doesn't discolor like regular gel either. Usually about 2 weeks in my dip/gel gets a yellow tint on white tips. This gel product has not discolored. If you want a long lasting natural look, try Judy and her builder gel system (I think that's what it's called). my usual tech, Nga, is also great at dip powder French and does a nice manicure and will listen to what you want. Little language barrier, but she always confirms shape and amount of white tip as she proceeds. Her dip powder manicures really last long too. I've had a few pedicures here and all have been great. Think Katie did my last one. (Might have name wrong). I will for sure seek her out again. Gave a good acupressure-style foot massage that I found super relaxing and stress relieving. The salon is doing a nice job remodeling the salon to their own style. I will say Prices seem a bit higher than other places. But if the polish lasts extra long and service is outstanding, it's worth a little extra to me.

this place was so so cute. everybody there seemed so friendly and the guy at the front counter was so sweet and organized about everything ! he was the one who picked up the phone and was able to make an appointment for me right then and there on the same day. i don't know the girl's name who did my nails but she was an older woman and she seemed very experienced in her work. i very much enjoyed the experience and the overall vibe of the environment. though, she was a bit rough with my cuticles and i was a little bit disappointed with the color choices she wanted to make when i showed her my reference picture. i think she couldn't tell what the colors were in the reference but other than that, she did a very good job doing my nails and my nails were 100% just what i wanted and looked exactly like the reference photo except for the colors itself. i got an acrylic soak off and a new acrylic full set just for the price of 90 dollars! usually i'd pay much more at other nail salons but this place is very affordable here. i'll definitely be going back. :) just be aware on who does your nails over here!

Great pedicure but the manicure was not done very well. Lack of attention to details (nails shaped differently: my right hand has bulky shapes while the left is closer to what I wanted, as if he forgot to check or file the right hand) and no care for cuticles (I even asked at the end and he said it was done with the machine.. no soak or anything, didn’t push them in or cut them and it shows) or the overall experience. Spent about $150 in total (left above 20%) and I felt they weren’t appreciative of my business. (He even ran to the lady that did my pedi and pointed at my receipt, not sure why but I found it a bit rude to do that right after I signed it..). I went to this place because I saw very nice nail art but they told me they didn’t even have any glittery gems for a simple design I showed them. The other manicure technicians seemed very nice so it must just be my luck.

So I’m fairly new to the area and as we nail girlies know, one must begin a rigorous search across the land in pursuit of what will be no doubt a long and intimate relationship. Though not romantic a good nail tech sees you through all of life’s big events and even the small ones. I’d thought my search was finally over. I truly did! I’d found a place on the route where I run (2birds 1stone) and on top of that there was a tech, whom I saw last time, and who's work was amazing. I mean truly gratifying. I love an impromptu nail trip and as such waiting is generally part of the process. Well this time was something entirely different. When I walked in a middle aged lady with glasses sat at the 1st chair (this is important) with glasses poised at the nape of her nose. She didn’t look up as she asked me what I’d like to have done. I prefer a full set and said as much. She pointed to a stack of colors and told me to pick one. I sat for 15 minutes while she worked on another customer. As I was seated a lady in a yellow sundress strolled in with her own glass. They have a premade orange drink sat on the counter (I was not offered anything to drink, even though I clearly had just been on a run and looked it). She takes a sip, chats with the first chair then walks to the back; I imagine to use the restroom. The lady with the glasses directs me to join her there at a booth #1. She asks me what I’d like today and I tell her. And she suggest I do something different… ā€œthats fineā€, I think, ā€œshe’s the expertā€! I did notice how rough she handled me as she began the removal process. I’d mentioned a fear of my nails becoming too brittle and she decided we’d do a soak off. After my fingers were wrapped an foil she then came around and moved me to booth #3. She said it took 10 minutes to soak. Now I’ve been getting my nails done for in a similar style for close to 15 years and I’ve never been relocated for a soak off. I asked for a water and she begrudgingly brought me one, but didn’t offer to open it remember my fingers are wrapped in a foil with alcoholic liquid… when she returned to her booth she called the yellow sundress over and began to remove her nails. They giggle and share light conversation (something she’d not tried to initiate with me) and a sit for four minutes: She cleans her cuticles. I think ok maybe she’s laying the ground work then she’ll get back to me, or maybe this lady made a reservation… but then I think. She came in before I was seated and spoke to the lady already. If she truly were a reservation she’d have taken her first… right? 10 minutes passes she’s applying nail extensions… 15 another tech comes over and is pointing at me and arguing with the lady in what I could imagine was the same ire for making me wait as I had, that angel by the way was willing to finish the job. She did not let her. 20 she’s filing…25 she prepares her gel…30 minutes I’ve been in purgatory and she’s nearly finished with the sundresses nails! Now at this point I’m seething, quietly of course; I am from the Midwest. When the tech I’d seen last time finishes up with his client he offers me a seat in his chair…at this point I’m just ready to leave. I ask him for just a removal so I can get back to my day. I’m patient and never want to be awful or a burden ever really…it’s a problem of mine. Small inconvenience usually fly under the radar but this was truly beyond the pale. I wasn’t the only one. As more time passed I could feel the energy in the salon change. Out the corner of my eye I could see other guests looking over with pensive looks wondering if she would finish that woman’s nails before mine were even removed…as you can see all of my reviews have been about fabulous work. Im not usually overly loquacious about less than great service, but I’d be remiss if I hadn’t left this. I’m not sure if it were an identity thing or not…but I sat in that shop for nearly an hour in total and I left with only the nails God gave me. I wish I could go back because TUY really was amazing, but I don’t spend money at places that...

sheesh, so I took my mom here when she was in town for a mani pedi. I knew this place wasn't "fancy" but I've been here to get my eyebrows waxed a few times and the parking and location are convenient, and there usually isn't a long wait. I guess I'll say that I think it just really depends on what tech you get--my mom got a pretty thorough treatment thankfully, but the ladies who gave me my mani and pedi were both some of the most sour-faced, rude people I've ever have ever encountered. I got the deluxe pedicure that includes a 15 minute massage and the whole thing took 20 minutes, the massage was terrible and the chick doing it just seemed like she could absolutely care less; she just sort of haphazardly rubbed my foot/leg without any pressure while staring blank-faced at the TV above me. She left the mud they rub you down with all over my legs. The lady who came over to do the mani was even worse--super rude--and yanked my arms around across my body for long periods of time which was extremely uncomfortable. She then demanded I pay before she started my nails. When I filled out the receipt, she immediately reported the tip amount to the women as I sat there (and no, it wasn't a great tip because it was a terrible service!) This was overall a terrible experience and I'll never be returning. If you are treating yourself to something like this, save your frustration and go elsewhere where you can have a relaxing or enjoyable experience. I gave two stars because the actual paint on the toes/fingers looks pretty good, but honestly I can do that--the reason I go to a salon is for the rest of...
