Came in on Saturday around 17:15 in hopes to do some lap swimming in 2 lines that are available everyday from 15:15 to 18:30 according to the schedule.
Anyhow, the 2 Layne were near by the wall, which is a STUPID idea. Here is why, I was swimming at the lane closer to the wall and on multiple occasions there were some little kids that would jump right in front of me and even managed to land on me once. After that I did stop and raised my voice, of course mother came in and I explained the issue after which she said “ it’s pool for everyone not just you “, I responded with “ well, I will be putting my swim paddles and if I hit your kid by mistake because he is hanging out in this lane don’t be surprised “! Kids were gone.
Lap lanes should not be near the wall, so kids don’t jump on top of swimmers!
Another issue and this is much more important and serious one, THE WATER WAS DISGUSTING! There is no other way to describe it. I have being a professional swimmer for 14 years and did travel the world and swam in very strange pools in 3rd world countries. Let me that you something, this pool had the WORST water quality that I have ever swam in! IF I HAD A CHOICE OF SWIMMING IN THIS POOL OR THE PARIS OLYMPIC RIVER, I WOULD DEFINITELY GO WITH PARIS!
And what you know, Sunday morning was feeling sick and spent next 2 days at home running between bathroom and couch.
Pool looks nice from outside but the water quality is horrible at the best, kids all over the place… circulation and filtration rates are non exciting! I bet the chemistry of it also was non-existent… maybe someone should call on Denver health to come by and check this place….
Not recommended at all, unless u want to be sick .
Ps Did not take any pics of the place because I was...
Read moreThis pool is amazing! Full Olympic sized swimming area accompanied by a regular swim area. The children’s splash area is the cutest I’ve ever seen. Very well maintained and inviting. I had to drop off some stars though because I enrolled my daughter in swim class and while she was swimming one of the toddlers had gone in a little too deep and couldn’t get herself out. The instructor in charge did not even notice as her back was turned to the child and I had to alert one of the other moms who then alerted the instructor. Instructor did not mention it to the parents. This little girl was probably under water for 20+ seconds with no air. I hate to think what would happen had she not been alerted. Unfortunate that this place is ran by...
Read moreDon't wear goggles. Otherwise you'll be able to spot the wads of chewing gum, used bandages, and giant hairballs lurking under the surface of this otherwise lovely facility. Went here to work out on a summer evening, drawn to the designated 50-meter lap lanes, but got my fingers wrapped around one too many hair wads and had to call it quits out of disgust. Ick. The reviews are really excellent for this pool...so maybe it was just an off-day? Other than the water ickiness, the temperature was good, and it wasn't crowded (in addition to above-mentioned benefits). Also note that there are no chairs on the deck, so bring your own or sit...
