What is going on with this place? The name of the restaurant is Curtis Park Delicatessen yet it is no where near Curtis park in Denver. I understand it’s a chain restaurant with its original location very close to Curtis park, but moving forward it may present a branding issue. Let’s talk about the sandwiches because there is literally nothing else on the menu to talk about. We ordered the “American”: Turkey, mozz, avocado, arugula & Mayo & the “Beef”: Roast beef, mozz, arugula, Mayo, sweet peppers and a supposed horseradish sauce. The bread was fire. The meat was tasty. The condiments complimented the sandwich except no detection of a horseradish sauce . Overall very good. This place’s only options for sides are are chips and cookies. I want fries, coleslaw, potato/macaroni/traditional salad basically anything besides prepackaged potato chips. I wonder if they streamlined their menu due to the pandemic. Overall it cost me over $30 for 2 sandwiches, 2 bags of chips & 1 iced tea (not including tip.) Let’s talk about the chips briefly. Underwhelming. Your very basic generic 3rd party potato chips. We got sea salt & vinegar chips as well as some horseradish & cheddar chips. Again very basic. The unredeemable qualities outweigh the redeemable qualities that would make me want to eat here again, especially with no dine in service. I’m glad that I tried it, but I don’t see any reason to return based on price, taste,...
Read moreIf I need a sandwich that is hot and will leave me crawling the rest of the day, I’d go to snarfs. If I am looking for a lovely lunch that is not only delicious but doesn’t leave me feeling like I have a sandwich hangover for the rest of the afternoon, Curtis Park Deli is my jam.
It’s fancy, but no frills. The bread is out of this world— ciabatta with just the right amount of crunch and chew for their sandwiches. The meat is thin and plentiful, the cheese is cut thick and everything is assembled so perfectly.
Oh, pickles are free but you must ask for them. They are house made and I guarantee you won’t find a better pickle in the state.
The guys who make this culinary masterpiece happen are also super delightful. Nice to spend money somewhere where people actually enjoy their jobs. Speaking of, a sandwich, chips and a juice will set you back about $20. Worth...
Read moreMy partner brought me here only after going once herself. I was nervous because she had a vague memory of her experience. The menu isn’t overwhelming and the service was so nice! All the guys had contagious positive energy. The sandwiches were the best! I don’t know if I can go to Jersey Mikes again because nothing can compare! They get their tomatoes locally this time of year so if you get the chance try a sandwich there this season! I got the Italian and WOAH. That’s all I can say about it, don’t change anything about it other than maybe ordering two! I enjoyed my first experience so much I had to come back again later this week! Tried the American and this sandwich is definitely for anybody and everybody! If you’re on the fence just GO! It’s...
