I went to Glow Facial Bar as a gift card for my 40th. These people KNOW THEIR STUFF! They made me feel so comfortable and did a beyond fantastic job. The biggest thing beyond the actual facial/extraction and care they gave my skin was, they obviosuly could see I was there on an "e-gift" card, so they knew how much "gifted/free money" I had to spend. But they only scheduled me for the basic beginner inexpensive facial, to get to know me and my skin first. I found that integrity to be worth more than I can describe. A less honest place could have said "you need xyz" knowing since it was a gift card, I wouldn't have cared, and burned through that credit in one sitting. But they really took the time to start slow and did NOT push any procedures or products on me. I actually asked for a more aggressive option and she suggested we wait and see how my skin reacts. (Again knowledge, honesty and integrity over a quick $) Recommendations for another time YES, knowledgeable products advice, YES, but pushy or over-selling- NO. i feel awful I don't remember my esthetician's name, but Ill update the post. I was so comfortable, relaxed and thrilled with the way my skin looked and felt, im planning to go at least for a monthly maintenance at Glow. (Which is far more affordable than one could think!) You only get one face-Im trusting Glow to keep me looking fresh as possible.
My husband also got a facial with me and loved it too, so I will update this with his estheticians name as well. (We got side by side treatment as a date night).
Lastly, the gorgeous gentleman at the front desk was super helpful and again-no pushing us to buy products or sign up for anything. Easy in, easy out-fantastic results. Cant wait to go back next month. 10/10, A+ 5 stars Thanks GLOW!!!! I really had a great time laughing and my skin stil looks like a babys butt!!
And we actually DID buy product because we were out of our norm and wanted, not pressured-and its so worth it. The medical grade organic products they offer feel so good on your skin, and the price points are really awesome!! (Super affordable) I am super pleased on all aspects of my experience and will update as we continue our "anti aging" skin care journey with Glow Facial Bar!! But go!!!! You won't be dissappinted....
Read moreI recently went to Glow Facial Bar and was not happy with my customer experience. I got a dermaplane and peel which was very good, however, the customer service I received has made me question if I will return back. When I first scheduled my appointment I requested a Dermaplane Plus and was told by the receptionist or whoever booked me that for some reason that facial was not pulling up in the system but not to worry and that she would put a note in the system and I would receive that facial. When I arrived for my appointment, the receptionist had not left any note and I was booked for the wrong service. When I told the esthetician that this was wrong she was very pushy and tried to push other facials and products on me because she could not perform what I wanted. They then made me feel like it was my fault that they booked the wrong facial for my appointment. I decided to reschedule so that I could get the facial that I wanted. When I went back in to receive the facial I requested, the scheduling confusing was again brought up and again made me feel like it was my fault. Nonetheless, I received my dermaplane plus which was good. When I went to checkout, I tried to use a gift card that my boyfriend had gotten me for Christmas. This gift card was though Spaweek.com where Glow Facial bar is listed as a business that will accept these gift cards. However, when I presented the gift card my esthetician made it seem like I was trying to "cheat" her with the gift card even though I showed her the paper that said it was for Glow Facial bar. She said they would not accept the gift card. Overall, my facial was great but customer service...
Read moreI get facials relatively frequently - definitely 1x every 2 months or so for the past 10 years. I understood that coming here would be a bit unusual - open seating (not private), seating on salon chairs as opposed to a table, etc. However, the quality, comfort, and results were very bad and the prices were as high as I would pay at other salons with much better experiences.
Chairs - super uncomfortable, my back hurt the whole time and felt like I was doing a workout just trying to get comfortable
Facial - spent $130 and the facial didn't even include extractions; it seemed like 20+ minutes were spent on cleansing alone, and the rubbing was so aggressive (largely on the jaw line) I couldn't help but wince for most of it
Public Atmosphere - I didn't have a problem with the non-private aspect of the facials, but I didn't expect quite how loud it would be; I was seated right next to the host desk and the front door, and I heard every single very loud and often protracted discussion (phone and in-person) relating to appointments, etc.; it was impossible to relax and zone out; no one made an effort to keep noise/bustle to a minimum
Results - It didn't even look like I had a facial; I didn't notice any results that would make me go back, and the experience wasn't nearly enjoyable enough to go back at all
Two stars only with the hope that perhaps the experience would have been better with a different esthetician. I will never go back and would never recommend for either results...
