Crawfish Market — Attraction in Denver

I’m generally loathe to give a place 5 stars but for this place it’s very well deserved. Here’s why: I’m born and raised Cajun. Access to live crawfish here is so rare that it’s an exceptional expense I can’t justify. They have live crawfish here sourced from Lafayette, LA. The town I went to college in, north of my hometown. I know crawfish and their prices. At this time in the season, the prices are INCREDIBLY reasonable back home and for here? I can’t believe it. You can scoop your own live crawfish into a paper bag for weighing. Bring your own ice chest obviously. They also have live blue crabs. Also reasonably priced and a decent size. They could have only these two things and I’d be so over the moon you’d never hear me shut up about it. It’s very clean in there y’all. I’ve been to some places back home that smell right but that some people wouldn’t like. They keep this place clean. Their selection of seasonings isn’t vast but they do have Louisiana brand which I personally like. They’ve got other frozen fish products from different places around the world. I haven’t spent a ton of time in the store because my brain was hyper fixated on LIVE. CRAWFISH. IN. DENVER. I boiled 5 lbs promptly that day a week ago and again today. This place has a great variety of seafood, they will even cook a few options. The market price for crawfish here being a New Orleanian,but that is also why we buy them live and boil them ourselves. I had him fry whole seabass, 2 male crabs , and one pound of crawfish that was like $12/lb the sauce was very yummy, it was all mixed (so Cajun, lemon pepper, and it was very garlicky:)) I even put the Cajun garlicky sauce on my seabass and had for work, with a salad it was bombbbb.I can't wait to try the snails, and to buy a bulk amount of sea bass and snapper. Crawfish Market is my go to spot for the freshest, highest quality seafood around. Everything here from the crawfish to the shrimp and beyond is always super fresh, clean, and well-packed. You can really tell they take pride in offering only the best. What makes this place even better are the owners. They’re some of the kindest, most hardworking people I’ve met.
