If I could give more stars, I would. Tonight I happened to be in the mood for quesabirria so I scoured Google until I stumbled upon this incredible establishment. Do yourself a favor and go here. Linda, an absolute gem of a woman, was our server and it’s a smaller restaurant so she seemed to be taking on all of the front of house responsibilities and she provided one of the most pleasant dining experiences I’ve had in a very long time. Don’t even get me started on the kitchen. COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF! We added the Guatemalan chorizo (MADE IN HOUSE BY THE WAY) to our queso. I would eat this by myself with a spoon like a tub of ice cream. It was that good. I of course got the quesabirria and the rest of the table got basic beef tacos and carne adobada. The salsa and other complimentary sauces were so good, I have to assume they all were also made in house. The Salsa de Chile de arbol was my favorite. Especially with the chorizo queso! We didn’t even realize that it was happy hour While we were there so two of us got margaritas and one got a beer. They have a very good happy hour! Very good prices for the quality of food that we received. This is our first time here and we really enjoyed everything about this experience so we will be back to try more of this amazing menu! I will try to save room for...
Read moreThis is my first time coming to Taconteno y más ! And I am Lost for words. Let me start off by saying this restaurant brought me back to my Guatebella. My sister ordered some quesabirrias and they were the BEST Quesabirrias tacos I’ve ever had. My brother in law order a few antojitos like the Chuchito tamal and the Doblada de pollo, For sure brought me memories to when I used to go to school in Guatemala and had 5 quetzales for lunch and would run to the corner vendor of our school. I order the Caldo De Pata and was also Very Delicious. Each bite I had Of the Caldo it gave me so much nostalgia of my Abuelas Caldo de Pata. The waitress who was serving us was very friendly and helped us with some questions we had. The restrooms were Super clean as well. Definitely would recommend this Hidden gem and definitely...
Read moreI always complained about Denver not having good Mexican food but I think my search is over. Their salsa for the chips, the 3 salsas (green/red/habañero), the excellent service, and of course the food was incredible. It's obvious they try hard to maintain a high level of quality in their food and take pride in the restaurant -- like, every salsa they provided (for free!) was well seasoned, distinct, and flavorful. Only got to try their breakfast burritos, smothered and not, and their birria consomme but will be back to try the rest of their menu! Wish I took a pic of the burritos but once we started we didn't stop until...
