We visited the Highlands Farmers Market not quite knowing what to expect—and left wishing we had something just like this back home!
Set over two blocks, this market offers a fantastic mix of fresh local produce, artisan goods, craft spirits, plants, mushrooms, and more.
Despite being well-attended, it never felt too crowded.
The layout made it easy to explore at your own pace, whether you were there for serious grocery shopping or just a leisurely stroll.
The range of vendors was genuinely impressive.
We spotted everything from vibrant greens and just-picked fresh veggies to beautifully packed mixed mushrooms and gorgeous potted plants including peppers and tomato plants.
The energy was lively but relaxed—exactly the kind of Sunday morning experience that feels like a local ritual.
What really stood out was the sense of quality and care.
The mushroom stand in particular was fascinating—with a stunning array of varieties and helpful notes explaining each one.
We also loved the craft stalls and small-batch goods that added a unique flavour to the market.
It’s the kind of place where you can fill your tote bag with delicious goodies and meet passionate local producers at the same time.
Whether you’re a foodie, a plant lover, or just looking for something a little different to do in Denver, this market is absolutely worth your time.
Highly...
Read moreProbably the best farmer's market I've been to. So many tents it stretches on for four blocks and a huge variety of vendors. Mostly they are food related like food trucks, honey vendors, bread vendors, salsa vendors, kombucha vendors, etc. (as is typical of farmer's markets) but you'll find a ton of clothing, jewelry, flowers, and other things as well. Frankly, there's no way you'll find nothing you like.
Moreover, all the vendors are super polite and friendly which is not always my experience at these markets. There are also a bunch of interesting stores just off the main drag if you prefer to look for more or in air conditioned stores.
The ONLY complaint I have is that since it is so good, it's very well attended. We were there just 30 min after opening and it was already packed wall to wall. Get there early or plan to push through a crowd. That said, it is still well...
Read moreLove it! We go every weekend and get breakfast and shop for veggies and other goodies. Two suggestions/feedback: Close Lowell and let people flow freely from one side to the other. Love the expanded market this year, but that is a big drawback. Both the South Pearl St. and City Park farmer's markets offer compost/recycle/trash - and still accept compostable plates/napkins/food containers. Why doesn't our market have those? We just have trash...and I think recycling? Last year we would simply bring our compostable items home and put them in our green bin, but with the new rules, those items aren't acceptable anymore. Would love to see those...
