I used this salon twice before trying to see if Nail Time could replace my old salon since I moved to Morris Plains and felt it to be decent. But when I went earlier this morning, I was very displeased in the customer service. I came in and originally an older Asian woman was supposed to do my nails but then she asked a younger Hispanic woman to do my nails since I guess she noticed I was African American. I had gel on my nails so I needed to get that taken off. When I saw the drill, I asked could my nails be soaked off. I was originally told that it was no problem. When Allison came in, she was observing and seeing what was going on and then asked about my nails being soaked off. The tech stated that I requested that and not the drill. Allison appeared to be irritated. The tech then began to file my nails. I told her that I wanted almond shape. She couldnāt do it so she asked Allison. Allison began filing but then she got up and put on gloves. When I looked around I noticed no one else had on gloves. She claimed she did it because the filing hurt her hands. Once she got settled with filing she stated lecturing me about how in her salon the techs are to use drills on her nails. She told me acetone is a chemical that damages the nail bed š (Iāve been getting my nails done since I was 15 and Iām 34 now and have always gotten my nails soaked off hence why my nail bed is strong). I kindly and sternly told her that I only soak my gel nails off and if she had a problem with it I would kindly leave. She simmered down and then went on about her business. I noticed upon looking around how every other customer (mainly Caucasian) was greeted with a smile and an Asian accommodated them. When I paid, the woman that rung me up looked at my nails and was shocked at how they looked saying how the Hispanic tech did a great job which led me to believe that she normally do not do nails. I wanted to make this my new salon but after the lack of customer service and professionalism, I will find...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe slon accommodated my friend and I very quickly with a last minute appointment. However, the place was super crowded and all ladies were overworked and stressed, Don't inspire quality or personal touch from the owner/Manager but definitely going for the quantity (and there they lost me already but still giving a chance). I wasn't disappointed and my first impression was right and I didn't have a good experience, Pretty sad for this business to lose someone who is looking for a new place for their nails and happily coming with a girlfriend to spend some time together. Which, we didn't get as we didn't do our nails together or be near each other while doing a manicure or my friend's pedicure :-(. The lady"Michelle "was so rude, difficult and not helping me to choose different colors for my French tips from the picture I showed her... to the point, saying "it's not my job to choose a color for you" . If I wasn't with my friend, I would have got up and left that place... But I used my patience and told her to calm down and let me find colors as I'm trying to find different shades by myself...
When, I was done, I told the owner the behavior of her worker, who wasn't surprised with what I was saying and tried to get me to try someone else next time and asking for a tip for this lady Michelle as well and my answer was "NO" to both and I'm never coming back here and good luck with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWow, this place has gone down hill FAST! Today I went in for a full set. I walked through the doors at 4:35 and asked for an acrylic full set. The woman at the front (working on someoneās nails) said no problem. I waited until 5:05 because they had other clients which is totally understandable. They had me go sit at one station and the woman came to start my nails and said āwait one minute for someone elseā. Then they moved me to another station. This new tech asked what I would like done, I told her a full set of acrylic. She said āoh we donāt do that anymore. We only do gel extension nowā and gave me a price of $120. So Iāve now wasted 30 minutes. I could have already been at another local salon that does acrylics for 1/2 that price. If you know what you want, beware of this salon. If they would have said they do not do acrylics when I walked in, I wouldnāt even be leaving this review. Be transparent and maybe youāll...
