Ordered TV online Listed as Open box Excellent - "Looks brand new -Includes all original parts/accessories" Drive an hour to the store, pay multiple tolls, and I get there and they wheel out a TV in a plastic bag with no legs (for use with a stand) and no remote! They removed the TV from the wall and rolled it out to me! When I asked where the vital components were, they said it has none - but we can sell you a wall mount - I live in a cape cod with angled walls - But thanks for offering to take more of my money!
I go inside and ask why they advertised it as Open-Box Excellent and ask if there's anything they can do - give me legs or another TV and I was told there's no way to list online that it's missing accessories/vital components and most people wall mount them anyway - Seriously 😳 not helpful and entirely wrong!!!
I said all you have to do is list it as "fair condition - Vital accessories may be missing" This is right from your website!!!
Response sorry I'll refund your money!
That doesn't help me I wasted 2 hours, a tank of gas, and tolls - to end up with NOTHING - but some excuses and you can look around for something else at retail price.
Thanks for showing why you should NEVER trust Best Buy and especially the Deptford Store where apparently Excellent condition means we had it on 24 hours a day for a year or 2, threw out all the accessories, and we're going to lie online & to you when you come to pick it up and hope you don't notice...
I included the Best Buy description below incase anyone from the store actually reads these things, so they can learn how to list their used items online!
Bait and Switch is alive and well at Best Buy in Deptford!
Thank you for the AMAZING experience!

Read moreI purchased a washer and dryer nearly a month ago. They have been at my home four occasions and have not been able to install it. They always make excuses and blame me. The last time they forgot the dryer duct and duct tape. They wanted me to special order a side vent kit instead of using a flexible duct the time before that time. Previously, they wanted me to change the outlet for the dryer when they could use a different cord. The first delivery team called me and demanded that I leave and skip my tax appointment since they said they were coming over two hours before their delivery window which they previously set which makes me concerned about my taxes being wrong now. I also took my time from work doing all they asked from me. This seems like customer abuse. I need to find someone else who really sells these appliances and get all my money back from Bestbuy.
I will complete my story here. It seems intentional to take my money and not want to deliver. They patched me into the corporate office who said they have a more elite team who has ducts and everything they need in their truck to install which the store manager had previously said did not exist. The 5th time they were scheduled to come they refused to show up during their delivery window. They told me to cancel or reschedule during my work days again.
I asked for a refund of my $2,685.74 which is paid on my credit card for the washer and dryer and am returning my freezer for $202.50 since I want to end the nighmare of trusting them. It has been nearly two months without a washer and dryer in my new home and false promises from them. They said it would take 7 to 10 buisiness days to refund my money.
I cant trust them with anything. I would never buy appliances from a company that treats me like this and clearly can't deliver. Appliances are not just for fun and are needed. They don't respect customers.
I asked for compensation in a gift certificate form (to show they are serious) after having to buy new linnens since I could not wait two months to wash them and taking 7 days from work to accomodate them. They said the can't provide gift cards for an item that has not been delivered. They said that they don't have managers in the call center so I have to go to a store to find a manager. That seems very fishy and dishonest, but I am used to it by now since they constantly change their story. When I told the store manager right after their second failure to deliver after the call center hung up on me (which was preventable since the first delivery person asked me to change out the outlet but he did not request a side vent kit) and mentioned that I should be compensated for my trouble, she said that I am lucky they are not charging me and she blamed me for what they put me through. Her excuse was that I was to blame because I needed the washer and dryer in a rush and was very anxious to get it soon when I purchased it and was promised the install complete in two days. The seller in the store was joking pretending like he was dating me. This is not weird for Bestbuy knowing the store while being a long term customer.
Also, Bestbuy's price is so much higher than others. I was in a hurry and did not shop around. Their price tag looks average, but they charge for so many things that are included elsewhere like the hose, duct, and power cord. It was $500 higher than other places.

Read moreQuick overview: Be careful looking at reviews from over 3-4 months ago, a lot has changed. This particular Best Buy branch is not like it used to be. There is minimal staff and they seem to have minimal knowledge. Further, on the internet you can likely find not only better prices, but also better and faster help/assistance online via chat or calling.
My recent experience: Yesterday, a Saturday, they had literally only two people working in the TV and audio. I know they only had two because after waiting for an hour by the checkout stand in that area I essentially started stalking the only employee who I had seen in that area over the last hour, and even I asked for help he told me there were only two of them working and he was busy and couldn't help me. Not that he would be with me in a minute. Not that he would call someone else to help. Just straight up that he couldn't help me Note, the help I needed was paying for $5k-ish of home audio equipment. I told him I would just go home and order it online, and he didn't say anything but gave me a "thank goodness, now I don't have to help you also" look. Thus, I went home and started looking online.
My future plans will be to buy from online retailers like Amazon, parts express, B&H, new egg, crutchfield, etc. Even if it costs a little more, which it likey won't, at least I don't have go to a store and wait around for extended periods of time to convince employees to take my money.
Honestly, it is sort of sad as Best Buy seems (or seemed I should say) to be the last decent brick and mortar electronics store, at least in South Jersey. However, now it appears to be heading down the "soon to be forgotten" dark road.
Question for Best Buy management: I doubt they read reviews, but if they do here is a question (and I'm not asking this rhetorically, I really would like an answer). Why should I shop at Best Buy? The prices aren't great compared to online only retailers. The effort and work to get products from Best Buy is more (ie. Driving to store, waiting extensive periods for help, loading into car, etc ). Really, the only Best Buy advantage is seeing and hearing items. However, with no employees answering questions or assisting with checkout in a timely manner, that advantage is drastically reduced. In fact, it creates a "try (at Best Buy) before your buy (at lowest priced online retailer)" scenario.
Conclusion: I have a feeling that a few years from now Best Buy, at least this location, will grouped into the "remember when we used to go to" conversations with the likes of Blockbuster, Radio Shack, Borders, Circuit City, Power Records, Sam...
